It was a new term at Waterloo Road and Max had an announcement to tell everyone, not even Chloe knew what it was and she had tried to get it out of him more than once. That morning Chloe woke and she noticed Max wasn't in bed so she went downstairs to see him sitting on the sofa with his laptop "are you ready?" Chloe nodded.
Arriving at school Chloe noticed Charlotte so she called her but she got ignored "Dad, let me hold her" Chloe turned to see Tom and Josh with Taitlyn so she walked over to them "what's wrong with Charlotte?" Tom shrugged "I've had Taitlyn most of the half term" Chloe frowned "oh" Max came over "problem?" Chloe shook her head "no".
Max made his way into the hall and waited for everyone to be there. As soon as everyone was sat he began "well, the new term starts here, and Michael Byrne is no longer head teacher at this school" Chloe frowned and Max spoke up again "he will be replaced by me" Chloe was gobsmacked, she had no idea "did you know?" Chloe shook her head "no, he didn't tell me" Imogen turned back to the front.
The assembley had ended so Chloe went to speak with Max "how come you never said anything?" Max looked at her "I didn't" Chloe sighed "don't you think I have a right to know I'm engaged to the headteacher of my school?" Max smirked "well you know now" Chloe grinned "so how bad do I have to be to have a meeting?" Max took her hand and pulled her to the corner of the hall "as bad as you want" Chloe wanted to kiss him but she knew she couldn't in front of everyone "see you later" Max watched Chloe walk off, he loved her.
In registration Chloe was sitting with Imogen as Charlotte wasn't in there "Chloe, where's Charlotte?" Chloe shrugged "I don't know" Sian sighed "I'll go and look for her, no-one go anywhere" Chloe rolled her eyes "we're not gonna go anywhere".
Charlotte turned up for English but she was ignoring everyone, she didn't want to speak to anyone. While in English Charlotte was drowning out everyone "Charlotte, have you done this essay?" Charlotte nodded "yeah" Tom nodded "good" Charlotte sarcastically smiled "course it is" Tom frowned but walked over to someone who needed help.
The lesson had ended so Charlotte stood to leave "wait behind Charlotte" Charlotte inwardly groaned. When everyone had gone Tom looked at Charlotte "Taitlyn's crawling" Charlotte nodded "okay" Tom frowned "don't you care?" Charlotte nodded "yeah I care. Can I go now?" Tom sighed and nodded "off you go" Charlotte left the classroom leaving Tom to think about what was wrong with her.
Charlotte walked past Chloe ignoring her "what's her problem?" Chloe shrugged "no idea" Imogen nodded although Chloe was determined to find out what was wrong with Charlotte.
