Leaves are rustling, birds are singing. The first dew of the morning drops from a leaf and sun rays are seen shining on them. Twenty people can be seen sleeping on a tent-like structure that was tied to trees.
"Good morning." Four silhouettes walked towards the boy who is busy cleaning and organizing stuffs from last night.
"Good morning too, Miss Aisha." He greeted them and smiled. He put down his chores and led them to a table with four seats.
"Would you like to eat something?" He asked the four. He pulled out a quill and some parchment, looking like a waiter from some famous restaurant.
"I would love to have grilled meat." Mei said, chuckling.
"We all do." Jay added, and he smiled too, while raising his hand. He then used the raised hand to put it on Aisha's shoulder, and he hugged her on her shoulder.
"Don't look!" Theo covered Vin's face, but not the part of the eyes. Aisha blushed and she picked up a stone, threw it to Theo, but evading the last minute. They all laughed at the hilarious moment they shared.
"Four grilled meat, coming!" He said as he pulled out some stones and rocks, almost a hundred sticks of the same length, a couple of meat that were dipped in salt, pepper, some chili, oil, dried leaves and garlic. There are also rolled onions on one side and he skewered it in an alternate manner.
He then washed his hands, got some twigs and made a fire from them. Then used some rocks to contain the heat so the flavor would stick to the meat.
"Inspect." He used his skill to check the right temperature, the right wind strength, the right tenderness of meat, and the right time to cook the meat. From time to time, he will add twigs, dried leaves and barks of trees. Sometimes he will add fresh woods and sometimes, he will use water to put out some unnecessary flames. The entropy made the tender meat lose some heat, forming sugars on the meat, that makes it sweet, salty and spicy.
He used an hour grilling the almost a hundred sticks of meat, and when he was done, there were twenty-four pairs of twinkling eyes, twenty-four drooling mouths and twenty-four pairs of hands that are like asking for something.
"Good morning." He scratched his head and smiled. The ray of the sun touched his young face, and his warm smile was so heart touching, the pure innocence that made them happy even more.
"Okay, here goes." He gave them a stick one by one. Some sauces are still oozing from the stick, and the smell is still in the air.
"So good!" Mei was the first to comment. The meat is tender, sweet, spicy and delicious from the inside out. They all blurted praise of the delicacy in front of them and they all ate happily.
Hours passed, it was time for Mei and co. to go out and explore the place. They act as a single unit, and trains differently from Vin and co.
"Till next two months. Let's meet again." They waved goodbye and Vin led them out of the forest. He gave them supplies, and then he got back to where his friends are.
"Welcome back, Captain." Theo greeted him, and then he wrapped his arms on Vin's neck.
"So captain, I thought you were teaching us?" He said in a slow, but loud manner, enough for everyone to hear. Everyone then looked at him.
"Ah, I forgot." He scratched his head, then he unwrapped Theo, and walked around.
"Except from Von, who else here have cores with them?" He asked and everybody else, except for Ven, raised their hands. He facepalmed and then he looked at everybody.
He then walked towards their front, with Zaine and Theo on his sides, and then he grabbed something out of the air. It was an orb that was clear, but everyone can see white energy in the middle. It was so dense and pure, that their bodies started on reacting.
