Chloe POV:

Today is finally my first date with Luka. We've both been pretty busy. Me especially because I'm Queen Bee. He said to meet him at his houseboat on the river. I am a little nervous and didn't quite know where to go but I figured it out with some help from Sabrina's dad.

When I boarded the deck I was greeted by his mom Anarka.

"Well, if it isn't Chloe Bourgeois? I've heard a lot about ya."

"Uh... What have you heard ma'am?" I was nervous about how she would answer.

"Juleka tells me that you were mean to her."

"Oh. I really am sorry about that ma'am."

"I know ya are lass. Both Juleka and Luka tell me how much better you've become lass. I'm impressed."

"Thank you, ma'am. That means a lot to me."

"Oh. Enough with callin' me, ma'am. Call me Anarka. That is my name."

"Uh... Okay. You wouldn't know where Luka is, would you? He told me to meet him here."

"Oh. He'd be in his cabin. I'll show ya."

"Thank you."

She led me down to Luka's room, I mean cabin. It was painted a really pretty shade of blue. I noticed that he's a fan of Jagged Stone. He was playing his guitar. He sounded amazing. Gentle. Happy even. That's when he looked up at me and I probably blushed.

"Hey, Chloe."

"Uh... H- Hey Luka. Cool room."

"Thanks."

"You sound really great on that guitar."

"Thanks. I could teach you a few notes and cords if you want."

"Thank you for offering Luka, but I think I'll pass."

"Okay. Maybe another time. In the meantime, why don't you tell me about yourself? What don't I know about Chloe Bourgeois?"

"I... Uh... I don't know... I mean... You know who I am as... Well... Uh..."

"Queen Bee right?"

"Yeah. But I also sing from time to time."

"Really?"

"Yeah, but I'm not very good."

"I'm sure you're great Chloe. Why don't you sing something for me?"

"Really?"

"Sure. But there's no pressure if you don't want to."

"Okay. Just, let me think for a second." Then it hit me.

"Anyway, There uh... *ahem* haha... There's a dance coming up at school."

I felt Luka put his hand on my chin and gently move my head to get me to look at him.

"Chloe... I'm not great with this kind of stuff... I tend to make more sense with my guitar... but... uh..."

"Yes?"

"Would you uh... Would you want to..."

"Luka, I'd love to go to the dance with you."

"Really?"

I nodded.

"Great. We uh... we need to coordinate outfits."

"I'll have a yellow dress on."

"Okay. I think I have a black tux and a blue tie I can wear."

"Sounds perfect. Oh. It's getting late. I better get home. I had a great time Luka. Thank you."

He nodded and I left feeling like I was on Cloud 9. My crush asked me to go to the dance! I'm so excited. It was hard to fall asleep that night but I eventually did and I dreamt of Luka and me at the dance. It was the best dream that I had ever had.
