BONNIE POV:
"God damnit Evan pick up the phone."
I silently watched from my place on the stage as I saw Willow walk out from the East hall, phone to her ear as she tried to get a hold of Evan.
I couldn't blame her for her current frustration. She has a difficult job to do which she has to do every day of the week. And at the moment she was stuck dealing with something that no same person would ever want to actually happen. Although she doesn't realise it, I already have a pretty good idea of what currently has her panties in a twist.
"There you are." She said as she calmed down just a tad as her call was answered.
"Hey Willow." I made out Evan's voice coming through the phone. "Is there something wrong?"
"Yes actually there is." Willow replied with a sigh. "It will take too long to say over the phone and I have a lot to do at the moment so I'll make this quick. I need you to come in a couple of hours early tonight."
"Did something happen to the girls?" Evan asked on the other side of the line.
"Not exactly." Willow replied as she bought a hand up and ran it through her hair. "If you want to know what it is I suggest checking the news later before coming in."
"Is there a particular time you want me there?"
"Preferably just before closing time." Willow answered as she checked her watch. "I'll most likely need you and Bridget's help making room backstage."
"Ok. I'll be there at 8pm on the dot. see you when I get there Willow." Evan replied before hanging up the call.
I watched as Willow let out a relieved sigh after she finished the call with Evan. Only a second later she pulled her notepad out of her shirt and scribbled something down, which I presume relates to Evan coming in early.
As she was writing she turned around, and the moment she looked up from her notebook we both unintentionally made eye contact with each other from across the room. Without so much as a word she nodded her head towards the East hall. Quickly getting the idea I hopped off the stage and made my way over to the East hall and down to Willow's office, while doing so I shifted my guitar so that it was hanging across me back and not my front where I usually let it hang even between performances.
"Hey Willow." I greeted as I entered her office, being sure to close the door behind me so no customers go snooping on us.
"Hello Bonnie." Willow replied as she sat herself down in her desk chair. "I'll make this as quick as possible because I have a lot on my plate today. But how much do you know about what I was talking to Evan about?"
"I think I may have a somewhat decent grasp on the situation." I replied with a shrug. "I presume it has something to do with what I heard the customers saying happened last night, some sort of accident at one of the other Anime Conventions in the state?"
"Correct." Willow replied as she looked down at her computer. "The salvage crews were able to do their part and retrieve as much as they could. Unfortunately however the nearest Fazbear entertainment storage facility is at max capacity due to the pizzaplex attraction that's being built. Which means they need somewhere else to store the remains."
"Let me guess. The place they chose to store it is here?" I asked with a raised eyebrow as I crossed my arms.
"Correct again." Willow said with a nod. "Which is why I've called in Evan to help prepare everything for when they arrive."
"Might I ask why you chose backstage?" I asked curiously. "Wouldn't it be easier to store everything in General storage? Or heck even Parts and Service?"
"It will make more sense when you see what exactly it is that we will be storing here." Willow said with the slightest hint of a smirk. "I won't spoil it though, you'll just have to either wait till tonight or see if it comes up in one of the customer's conversations that knows what's going on."
"Real subtle Willow." I sarcastically remarked. "Just let me know if you need any help with the preparations after closing time."
"Very well." Willow agreed with a silent sigh. "You should probably get back to performing now. We both know just how popular you are when you're playing that guitar."
"Okay Willow." I said with a smirk as I bid her goodbye and exited her office.
What she said about me being popular while performing wasn't exactly a lie. Freya, Chica and I all have our signature things we do on stage that make us stand out. Freya being the lead singer naturally draws more attention to her. Chica has this mini dance routine she does while providing the backup vocals, even if her dance is really just her lightly shaking her hips and making her boobs bounce that slightest bit. For myself it was mostly to do with the way I play my guitar, which can vary depending on what type of song we're playing.
As I re-entered the main room I saw Freya up the stage doing one of her solo acts. Which basically consisted of her doing karaoke without a lyric board all while moving around the stage a decent amount.
"Um excuse me, are you Bonnie?" I looked to the direction of the voice to find no one there. But that didn't mean there was no one as I know from experience that normally if you can't see them at eye level then you just gotta look down.
Sure enough, as soon as I shifted my gaze towards the floor I found a young boy with light blonde hair standing there awkwardly, arms clasped together near his chest out of embarrassment.
"That's me." I replied kindly as I leaned down so I was close to eye level with him. "Can I help you with anything kid?"
"Could I please get a photo with you?" The little boy asked sweetly. "Today's my birthday so my mommy let me come here for lunch. I was hoping while I was here I could get a photo with one of you."
I felt my already existing smile soften by the innocent little thing standing before me.
"Sure thing kid." I answered as patted his head before standing back up right, much to the disappointment of some of the teen boys at the table behind me. "Let's go find your mother so we can take that photo. And who knows, maybe I can get Chica to join In with it."
EVAN POV:
"All good there Chica?" I asked as I saw NM Chica walking my way while carrying three massive boxes in her hands.
"Yeah I'm good." She replied with a curt nod as she passed me and walked over to a pile of boxes that were set to be moved into the storage unit.
It was mid afternoon now. And I was currently in the process of shifting whatever I could out of my apartment and into the storage unit I bought earlier that day. The current work plan we had worked out was I would grab anything from the apartment that I could get away with keeping in my car, such as food and all that.
While I grabbed all that stuff the Nightmares spread themselves into 2 groups. 1 group would already be down at the storage unit reorganising it so that there was room inside, thankfully even with everything that was already there it still had plenty of room to spare. The second group would be getting the apartment ready to be cleared out. Or in other words they moved all the packed up boxes into one room not too far from the door. After that it would just be a matter of transporting everything over to the storage unit, which I have a feeling the Nightmares already had a plan for.
"Hey Evan." A distorted male voice spoke behind me. Turning around I had to look up to make eye contact.
"What's the problem Freddy?" I asked the brown bear-like nightmare.
"Where do you want me to put these?" He asked as he showed me what was inside the box he was carrying. Inside was a stack of folded up shirts, jeans, jumpers and more.
"Just put that one by the door, I'll take it down to my car later." I replied as I nodded my head towards an empty spot by the door frame. At the current moment I was going through all the boxes and picking out the ones I would keep with me in my car until I went to the city council to inquire about the deed to the old family estate.
"Evan?" I let out an internal sigh as the voice spoke behind me. Turning my head to the side I spotted the tallest of my nightmares. Their body was bone thin and looked more organic than mechanical. It's face was a white mask with black tears flowing from the eyes and a massive grin full of needle-like teeth. And it's arms split off at the elbows before elongating into 3 long tentacles per arm. Nightmarionne.
Contrary to what one would most likely think if they were to see and hear Nightmarionne you would think they were a male. But in actuality Nightmarionne is female. Her voice is so incredibly distorted and monotone that it sounds male, but if one were to record her voice and raise the pitch you would begin to hear the female-esc voice. And in the terms of her body. I have noticed that the male nightmares seem to have a lot more of a box-like feel to their suits, with Nightmare FredBear and Nightmare being the exceptions. While the female nightmares are a lot more round in design, Nightmarionne fits the second category.
"Yes Nightmarionne?" I asked as I climbed to my feet from where I was kneeling on the floor checking boxes. "Need help?"
"Nope." She replied with an awkward shrug. "I just wanted to ask what exactly it was that requires you to head off to work earlier tonight?"
"Well it-" I was about to begin until I realised something. I had yet to check the news like Willow suggested. So at the moment I was still in the dark regarding why I was needed early tonight. "I still need to check up on that."
"I'd suggest you go check what it is now." Nightmarionne said as one of her arms extended down and used it's tentacle-like appendages to grab the box I was sorting through. "It's probably better that you know what happened when you arrive so you can at least have a basic idea of what to expect."
"Yeah you're probably right." I agreed as I climbed back to my feet. "Last time I went into a job blind I almost got scooped by Circus Baby."
"That was a day to remember." Nightmarionne said with a hint of humour in her voice. "You came back home that night speaking words none of us nightmares knew you were capable of saying."
Ah yes. The next day after I got home from working a shift at one of the Circus Baby locations I was speaking in slurs to a level that would make even the worst sailors sound tame in comparison. I'll be completely honest, I didn't even know what half the words I said were. For all I know I could have declared war on Russian poodles without realising.
"Yeah yeah whatever." I waved off Nightmarionne's comment while rolling my eyes. "I'll just be a moment." I said as I left her to sort through the boxes by the door while I went to grab my phone off charge in the kitchen.
When I got in there I found the 3 Freddles all laying on their back on the kitchen counter. Oddly enough they looked to be asleep. Another one of the weird things the nightmare animatronics can do, for some odd reason they are capable of falling asleep. And ironically they don't have dreams, only nightmares which they don't get bothered by. But that does beg the question, what causes them to have nightmares?
Five bucks says it's younger me with a flashlight chasing them.
"Ok let's see." I said quietly to myself as I grabbed my phone from the counter and opened up Google on it. "What has happened recently on the Anime Convention side of Fazbear's?"
I decided to go to the Fazbear Entertainment website and check the daily news postings on it.
{Recent News}
{As of 5:30am today Anime Convention number 371 was burned down.}
Damn that ain't good.
{Unfortunately the building was burnt beyond possible restoration. And many of the Anime-tronic models on site were destroyed with the building. The Anime-tronics that did survive the blaze have been scheduled to be transferred to Anime Convention number 01 for storage and repair.}
Checking my employee id I saw that the Convention I was working at was indeed Convention 01. Which meant 2 things. 1, I was working at the first Anime Convention established by my father and Henry Emily. And 2, I was now going to have an unknown number of new Anime-tronics to deal with during the night.
"Ugh, Fuck." I cursed as I slammed my head down on the kitchen counter, which inevitably did 2 things. First was I cracked the counter itself, I knew this place was cheap but hot damn that shouldn't be possible. Unless the counter is made of fake stone which it probably is. The Second was the Freddles getting woken up from my cursing and head banging.
"What the hell Evan." The 3 of them all spoke at the same time.
??? POV:
"It is done boss." A lone woman spoke into her phone as she watched the news footage of the burning anime convention.
"Good." A male voice came through the other end. His voice was distorted a small amount and seemed to glitch out like an old radio. "You have done well Bridget."
The blonde woman let out a scoff at the man's congratulations. As she did she looked down to the white and brown body suit she had stitched together.
"I don't need your congratulations." She all but spat back into the phone. "The only reason I agreed to work with you was because you promised me a better life than what I currently have."
"And you will dear." The man spoke, his voice carrying a sinister undertone that Bridget didn't pick up on. "There is one more job that I need you to do. Then your new life will be waiting for you."
"Ugh fine." Bridget sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose and stood from the chair she was sitting on. "What's the place?"
"Your current work location."
Bridget froze mid step. More from surprise than anything that she would be targeting her current job so soon.
"What do you want me to do there?" She asked as she got over her surprise and continued her journey to her room.
"Simple. This coming Sunday that convention is holding the annual business party for the company."
"And." Bridget asked as she entered her room and set her phone down on speaker mode so she could change out of her current attire. "What does that have to do with it?"
"Henry Emily is going to be there." The voice on the phone spoke with venom.
"Let me guess." Bridget spoke as she flopped down on her bed next to the phone in nothing but her underwear. "You want me to kill him."
"Correct." The man on the phone confirmed.
"Sounds like you have some sort of personal vendetta against him?"
"Quite the contrary. Henry Emily is the reason I lost my family." The man said, his voice carrying a mournful undertone.
"What happened?" Bridget asked, not really caring.
"Maybe one day I'll tell you." The voice said, dropping the saddened tone. "Until then you know the job."
"Kill mr Emily." Bridget spoke as her eyes took on a faint glow.
"And anyone who gets in your way." The voice finished with a sinister chuckle. "Until next time my dear."
The glow in Bridget's eyes faded as the call ended. She let out a groan as she shook off the effects of whatever it was that just happened, not that she even knew what happened. To her all that happened was her receiving a sudden headache as soon as her phone call ended.
She remembered when she first made contact with the strange man on the phone. She had just been sent a digital copy of the new Fazbear security protocols from one of her friends that was getting a promotion from IT management to security at a new location.
The "new protocols" was really just a list issued out to all members of the Fazbear Entertainment security team. Which included a list of all new security software being implemented into the system and Animatronics. Such as a new identification system that would monitor visitors through facial ID recorded by Animatronics and security cameras. It didn't take Bridget long to realise that the new security software that was due to be installed in the Anime-tronics was part of this new system.
The way she found the strange man however was an unknown phone number that was listed in the email her friend sent her that contained the new protocols. She presumed it was there for her to confirm she got the new protocols. Not being one to disobey the rules she called the number as soon as she had the chance. After that everything changed.
The strange man on the phone didn't even work for Fazbear Entertainment. But it turns out he still had a connection to the brand. From the knowledge Bridget believed she had pieced together the man was related to the Afton family in some sense. The 2 had talked for a short
while, and within that small span of time the man on the phone had managed to convince Bridget to do questionable work for him under the guise that he would provide her with a better life once she was finished.
If only she knew what that better life was going to entail.
Chapter 15 here we are. hope ya like it.before I sign off I'd like to thank you all. it means a lot to me that so many of you are enjoying this story. I never imagined it would reach over 10k reads and so many votes. but seeing those numbers on something that I originally began writing as a background project is just something I cannot truly proccess.
also I'd like to give ya'll a little bit of trivia about this story. as I said this originally was meant to be a background project. so writing it was so much slower at the begining. in fact I actually started writing this book over a year ago now. back in October 2020 was when I started the prologue. and now over a year later, with the original story idea long since being scrapped and the one your reading now having multiple changes before I begun publishing. the story has reached it's 15th published chapter and a reading length of around 4 hours. and more on the way.
I hope ya'll are ready. because Evan's life is about to be changed forever.
