EVAN POV:
"Oh thank the maker!" I yelled out in relief as I looked at the message I had just received.
I was just getting ready to finish my shift when my phone buzzed, signalling that a message had just come through. When I checked, to my surprise it was from town hall.
It was with much dread and dwindling hope that I opened the message and read what it contained. It was mostly business stuff along the lines of all the contracts I'm going to have to sign off to get things running again. But to my immense relief the message contained what I hoped it would.
I had been granted ownership of the only family farm estate.
"What's so exciting?" Bonnie asked from where she was sitting in my office chair. I myself was currently leaning against the desk in front of her.
"I was given the all clear." I said as I turned to face her, a large relieved smile clear as day on my face. "The old farm house is mine."
"That's good to hear." Bonnie replied with a nod as a smile of her own crawled onto her lips.
“Yeah.” I said with a sigh as I slipped my phone back into my pocket. “After work I will have to drop past town hall quickly to retrieve my documents and sign off the house in my name. After that it will just be a matter of heading over there and checking the place out. With luck it won’t be in horrible condition.
“Why don’t you ask your nightmares to check the place out for you?” Bonnie suggested with a slight head tilt.
“That actually isn’t a bad idea.” I replied as I stood up from the desk. “One of them will probably show up once my shift ends, I’ll ask them then.”
As if on cue the chime sound to signal the end of my shift rang out throughout the convention. Not wasting any more time than needed I made my way over to the locker room and quickly got changed. By this point it had basically become a system. Get in, get changed, get out before the other employees arrive.
As I exited the locker rooms and came down to the main party room I saw Freya, Bonnie and Chica all come out from backstage, all in the process of slipping on the last part of their usual uniforms. With Freya buttoning up her vest, Bonnie adjusting her corset around her breasts, and Chica pulling her socks up to her knees.
“Considering you don’t have it on you, I’m gonna guess I’m not going to be getting my hoodie back am I?” I asked Bonnie even though I already knew what the answer was most likely going to be.
“Nope.” Bonnie replied with a cheeky grin. "Also look behind you."
With a raised eyebrow I turned around, only to come face to face with a certain pumpkin of a nightmare named Fredbear.
"Why must you always do that?" I asked, referring to the way he always seems to appear at random times.
"Because it's funny." Fredbear replied, sounding smug. "Also it's kinda my thing to just turn up, you know how long I've been doing it."
"Yeah yeah whatever." I replied as I shook my head and let out a sigh. "Look. I wanted to ask if you and the other nightmares could go check out the old farm house and possibly start cleaning things up depending on what condition the house is in?"
"Yeah we can do that." Fredbear replied with a nod. "It will be nice to see the old farmhouse again. And I think Foxy and Mangle would like to see their old closet again."
"Sounds about right." I replied with a chuckle. "I'll see you guys later. I just have a few things I'll need to get done before I head over."
"Ok kid." Fredbear said as he patted me on the shoulder. Then he walked over to one of the tables and picked up my crutches which had been left there after the incident with Golden. "I'll take these with me considering you don't appear to need them at the moment. See ya later Evan." And with that part said he vanished.
