SPRING POV:
I wasn't sure what to feel at the moment.
I had just been violated by some teenage criminal. He had his way with me while I was powerless to do anything. It felt horrible, I felt horrible. I just wanted it to end.
And then the moment it's over, another guy comes by dragging Evan's lifeless body. And says that they're going to torch the building.
I was unceremoniously dumped across from the door to Parts and Service, giving me an unintentionally perfect view as one of them began to ransack the room. Stealing anything that looked valuable and then dumping enough petrol to fill a truck on the floor and shelves.
I held out a sliver of hope that Evan would get up during all this. That he'd suddenly appear from the doorway and kick the shit out of the guy who was dumping the fuel. That he'd save the day like a knight in shining armour from a fairy-tale. But he never did.
The man who brought Evan's body over took another long drag from the joint he was smoking, the smell being noticeably different from the usual cigarette. After the kid who Raped me left he pulled out a stick and lit it. I was expecting him to light the fire at that moment, but instead he took a smoke break.
"Alright boy's!" A female voice suddenly came from down the hall. It sounded familiar, but I couldn't explain why. "Get ready to load up. Levi is lighting the place up, so I want us out asap."
"Guess that's my que." the man said as he took one last drag from his cigar. After letting out a slow puff of the cancerous smoke, he flicked what was left of his cigarette into the Parts and Service.
The room went up in a ball of fire. The heat was instantly overwhelming from where I sat. And the flames made quick work as I watched Evan's body disappear in the inferno.
"Never get tired of doing that." The man said as he flicked the visor of his helmet back down. The flames had yet to start spreading further, but that wouldn't last long. "Now to get you girls to the-"
The man stopped mid sentence, and I couldn't blame him. How else would you react when you saw a burning body suddenly stand up.
EVAN POV:
Everything felt... Fuzzy. Yeah, fuzzy.
I wasn't dead. Yet. But that wouldn't last long.
I was on fire. That was probably why I felt fuzzy, all my nerves were burning. I woke up because of the intense heat that suddenly overtook me. But it quickly fizzled out as I got my bearings.
The room was on fire, I was on fire. Why was I on fire? No time to question it. I gotta get up.
I could feel my body fighting as I climbed to my feet. It wanted to give up, I couldn't blame it. I'd been shot in the back, stabbed in the eye, and set on fire all in less than an hour. Speaking of stabbed.
Placing my right hand against the table to steady myself, I grabbed the price of plastic lodged in my left eye. And pulled.
I felt as not only the chunk of plastic came out, but so did my entire eye. Sparks flew as the wiring snapped. Static filled my vision for a brief moment as I let out a scream, before quickly returning with only the right side of my vision remaining.
Looking at the eye I just ripped out, my attention quickly turned to the fact that the skin on my arm had burned away, revealing the melting synthetic flesh and metal Endoskeleton beneath. Another issue that could wait till later. For now, I had to get out of here.
Looking towards the door I saw one of the helmeted men standing there. Behind him against the wall were Spring and Golden. It only took me a second to notice the state Spring was in.
