"Hey," Yeri spoke as she spun around in her seat to look at her best friend. A frown formed on her lips when Chanhee didn't even bother to look up at her. "I said hey."

"I heard you the first time," the boy muttered.

Putting the palm of her hand on his forehead, Yeri lifted up Chanhee's head so he was forced to look at her. "Are you mad at me because of yesterday?"

"You're distracting me, Yerim, I have work to get done."

"Stop acting like that!" She hissed. "I'm sorry I left you yesterday."

He finally set his pencil down and looked up from his worksheet. "You left me stranded," he spoke simply.

"You managed to get home—wait who did give you a ride?"

Younghoon quickly looked away from the two when he heard that, not wanting to be dragged into the conversation. "That's none of your business," Chanhee mumbled for both of their sakes.

"Why are you being a little bitch?"

Although he was in no way a part of the conversation, Younghoon's eyes widened at the the phrase little bitch. If he had been a part of the group he would one hundred percent have sided with Chanhee.

"You left me all at a basketball game with no way to home just to sleep with a boy who doesn't even care you."

A small gasp slipped you of the eavesdropper when he heard the full story. Now that he knew why Yeri had left Chanhee, Younghoon was even more on the boy's side.

Yeri turned to glare at the boy. "What?" She hissed.

"Oh...I just finally figured out what I was doing wrong on this problem," Younghoon lied, not wanting to be subject to any more of the girl's harsh words.

"If you even care," Yeri started as she turned back toward Chanhee, "me and Hyunjae are back together."

"Oh for the seventh time?"

"You're an asshole."

"You have no self respect, Yeri. Obviously you're not going to marry this boy if he can't date you longer than a month!"

"Oh my god just shut up!" Yeri groaned, "At least I actually have a love life for you to be worried about."

No matter how much Younghoon wanted to mind his own business, he felt so invested in their argument. Although the two had both said some rude things to each other, he thought Yeri's words were unnecessarily harsh. When there was a stretch of silence between the two, Younghoon glanced over at Chanhee and saw the boy suddenly focused on his homework.

A small frown formed on Younghoon's lips as he found himself feeling sorry for the boy. He wasn't quite sure why he cared so much about him. Maybe it was because Chanhee had cared for him in the past, but all he wanted to do was tell him nothing the girl had said was true.

"Younghoon!" A voice called just as Younghoon was going to leave the gymnasium.

"Yes, Juyeon?" He asked.

"Me, Kevin, and Sangyeon are going out for drinks. Do you want to come?"

Closing his eyes so he could thing about it, Younghoon hummed and said, "Why not? I'm not doing anything else."

A grin spread across Juyeons face when he heard the elder's answer. "Oh my gosh—they're going to be so excited! Kevin was sure you were going to say no."

✨✨✨

After all of their IDs were accepted, the boys felt like they could finally relax.

"I can't believe our next game is already the last one of the season," Kevin muttered.

"It'll probably be the last real game of my life," Sangyeon answered truthfully.

"Me too."

All of the boys turned to look at Younghoon with wide eyes. The whole team has just expected Younghoon wanted to continue on with a career in basketball because he was so talented. "You're not going to play in college...?"

Taking a long drink of the beer he had ordered, Younghoon shrugged. "I haven't enjoyed playing for the past couple years," he admitted, "it's not something I'd want to base the rest of my life off."

"I think there's supposed to be a few scouts at the game...you might get a few offers regardless," Juyeon explained, knowing that everybody's eyes were always on the star of the team.

"I see..." the boy whispered. He knew that if he turned down even one college offer he would never hear the end of it from his father. Letting his mind wander, Younghoon began to think about possible solutions: he could fake an injury or simply just throw the game. If he did either of those; however, his teammates would have to share the consequences with him.

"I think coach wanted to change the starters, you can talk to him if you'd rather be benched for the game."

Sangyeon hit the back of Kevin's head quite roughly upon hearing those words, "Younghoon is the reason we've won all the games we did. There is no way you'd convince coach to bench him."

Instead of weighing in on their conversations, Younghoon thought that drinking as much as humanly possible was more interesting. He chugged and chugged while the guys talked about god knows what until his body could barely keep it down any longer.

Although it seemed like a good idea in the moment, after a half hour passed Younghoon could barely sit up by himself.

"Younghoon."

"Yes?" He asked, not knowing how long he had been staring at a napkin on the table.

"We were just talking about how you've never dated anybody through all high school," Kevin asked, his eyes dropping ever so subtly as the alcohol caught up with him as well.

The elder nodded, "I just...I haven't had time for dating. All of my energy goes towards basketball."

Juyeon let out a hum before he chugged his own drink. "Is there anybody you have your eye on? You've got to like somebody," he slurred.

A grin spread across Younghoon's face. "There is somebody I just can't stop thinking about—but I won't tell you who," he revealed. The statement didn't seem so shocking considering the condition of the boys, yet it would've cause quite the commotion among the sober version of themselves.

"You could have any girl you want, Younghoon—ah. All of the girls are in love with you already."

"Yeah..." the boy whispered somberly, suddenly crashing down from his drunken high, "any girl I want."
