"Chanhee," Younghoon called out softly from where he was laying on the boy's lap. He reached up and poked one of Chanhee's cheeks, trying to divert his attention from the tv in front of them."Hm?" The younger hummed, his eyes still fixed on the screen as if he wasn't just watching some random talk show his mother left on from that morning.
With a dramatic huff, Younghoon grabbed his chin and pulled the boy's head down to look at him. "Hey, I'm trying to talk to you," he sulked.
"I was listening..." muttered Chanhee, not wanting to admit that he was more engrossed in random people taking about current events than his boyfriend.
Ignoring Chanhee's words, Younghoon smiled up at the boy and asked, "Can I do your makeup?" He watched as a scowl formed on the younger's face before he looked back up at the tv, leaving him without an answer. "What?" Younghoon pestered.
"The one day I don't do my makeup before I see you, you want to do it for me—are you calling me ugly, Younghoon?"
"Chanhee," Younghoon started, pausing as let out a small laugh, "I think you're just as pretty without makeup as you are with it—I just think it would be fun. We're not doing much right now anyway."
Chanhee ran his fingers through Younghoon's hair as he took a few seconds to think about it. "Even though I am pretty comfortable...I guess you can do my makeup if you want...but only if you let me do yours some other day. Deal?"
"Deal," Younghoon agreed quickly, a grin spreading across his face before he sat up and pulled Chanhee off the couch.
"Let me grab my stuff," Chanhee muttered, expecting Younghoon to follow him into his room, but noticing the elder set off in the direction of the bathroom. After grabbing his makeup bag off his vanity, Chanhee followed the boy, peeking his head through the open bathroom door. "Whatcha doing? I thought we were going in my room?"
Instead of a verbal response, Chanhee got yet another smile from Younghoon as the elder grabbed the makeup bag and set it on the counter. "There's better lighting in here..." the elder muttered before scooping Chanhee into his arms and setting him down on the counter, "and this way we're almost the same height."
A soft giggle slipped out of Chanhee at the sudden moment of flight before poking at one of Younghoon's biceps. "You're stronger than I thought," mumbled the younger.
"I do push ups," he beamed.
Placing a hand on the side of Younghoon's face, Chanhee pulled the boy closer and whispered, "you're cute."
"I'm glad you think so," the elder breathed out before closing the gap between them. He brought a hand up to cradle the back of Chanhee's head, letting his fingers tangle in the boy's hair.
A hum came out of Chanhee as he leaned up into the kiss, throwing his arms around the elder's neck.
"Hey boys!" Mrs Choi chirped when she walked past the bathroom to see her son and his boyfriend making out on the counter, "What the hell are you doing?"
"Makeup!" Chanhee yelled as he pushed Younghoon off of him with all of his strength, almost sending him tumbling into the shower.
After recovering from the near death experience, Younghoon cleared his throat and nodded. He picked up the makeup bag and pointed to it with his other hand, "yeah—right here, see."
"Okay..." the woman grumbled, "now that I know the keep the door open rule doesn't work I'm going to have to do some thinking..."
"Like what?" Chanhee questioned, kicking Younghoon away when he took a single step towards him.
"I don't know...maybe like no Younghoon on Saturday's...or your dad has to sit in the room with you." She watched as her son's eyes widened, the boy quickly shaking his head. "I'm kidding," she smiled, "but seriously, stop making out where anybody can see you, okay?"
Both of the boy's nodded simultaneously, watching as she set off down the hallway, leaving the two alone once again.
"Well...I guess I should just start on your makeup then..." Younghoon muttered awkwardly.
"Yeah."
✨✨✨
"Chanhee—do you just have a problem sitting still?" Younghoon groaned as he grabbed Chanhee by his chin, trapping the boy in one spot, "what happens when you move and I poke your eye with this eyeliner? Then you'll be blind."
"You're just boring..."
"No, I'm focused."
"Are you almost done?"
Younghoon sighed at his boyfriend's seemingly nonexistent patience. He looked over the counter littered with various makeup products and grabbed a tube of lipgloss. "Just this then I'm done," he spoke softly.
Puckering his lips, Chanhee finally sat quietly as Younghoon meticulously painted the sticky clear gloss onto his lips. When Younghoon felt it looked good enough, he placed his pointer finger under the younger's face and moved it from side to side. "Do this..." he muttered, pressing his lips together a few times to show the boy.
Chanhee tried to hide his smile while he did what Younghoon told him to do. "Good?" He asked softly.
An excited smile rested on Younghoon's lips as he nodded, impressed with what he managed to do with little to no makeup skills. "I think it's perfect..." he agreed.
Excited to see what Younghoon spent an hour doing, Chanhee looked over his shoulder and examined his face. Although he wasn't expecting his boyfriend to do the best job in the world, he was pleasantly surprised. "This isn't half bad, Younghoon, I think it looks pretty good."
"You do?" Younghoon asked excitedly.
Leaning forward to see past the door frame, Chanhee made sure neither of his parents were lingering in the hallway before slowly pushing the door closed. He placed a hand on the back of Younghoon's head and pulled the elder towards him, pressing their lips together softly.
Just as soon a the kiss begun Younghoon was pushing Chanhee away from him. "That stuff is gross..." he muttered, using the back of his hand to wipe away the sticky residue left on his lips.
"You're the one that put it on me..."
"And now I'm going to take it off," he whispered as he used his hand to wipe away the rest of the lipgloss still on Chanhee.
"And you said the lipgloss was gross?" Chanhee questioned as he watched Younghoon scrub his hands in the sink.
