"So..." Chanhee started from where he was laying on his stomach in the center of Yeri's bed, kicking his legs back and forth, "how was your date with Sangyeon?"

Looking up from the history book laid out in front of her, a smile quickly spread across Yeri's lips. She had been patiently waiting all day for Chanhee to ask about her date so she could gush about Sangyeon. "He's absolutely perfect, Chanhee. He's handsome, funny, smart, kind, and he paid for dinner...I like a guy with money," she rambled, completely forgetting about any homework she had to do.

"Were things still awkward? What did you talk about."

Yeri rolled her eyes at the mention of the less than desirable exchange between at lunch a week ago but still continued, "We talked about hobbies...how much I like to shop and his sports and surprisingly singing—he likes to sing. Mmm...then we talked about just basic things to get to know each other."

"I'm glad you didn't just sit there and stare at each other...I was a little worried."

Ignoring the boy's words, she leaned forward with a smile and added, "he kissed me—he walked me up to my door and kissed me before I went inside."

"Is he a good kisser? It's hit or miss with athletes."

"Oh I know..." Yeri mumbled, "it was nice...his lips were soft. That was a pleasant surprise—I'm used to kissing boys who don't even own chapstick."

A small scowl formed on Chanhee's lips as he nodded at her words. "I have to make Younghoon put chapstick on all the time because he bites his lips," he muttered although he didn't mind too much.

"You two are cute," Yeri said quietly, a smile resting on her lips, "I think I'm starting to like Younghoon just a little bit—don't tell him that. You're just so happy lately, Chanhee."

"I didn't think I was sad before..."

"It's just little things...only your best friend would notice...because she's the best friend in the world."

Trying to hide his smile, Chanhee glanced down at his phone and saw a text from the boy they were just talking about. "Younghoon is going to come pick me up in a few, my mom wants him to come to our family game night...which we've never had before," he muttered.

"Your mom better not like him more than me."

"My mom has to tell you not to try to beat me up after you lose mario kart—the standard isn't very high."

"She's not here to stop me right now."

After playing yet another round of uno for what felt like the hundredth time that night, Chanhee glanced down at his phone and sighed, "it's getting late—would it be alright if me and Younghoon just go hangout in my room?"

Mrs Choi paused her shuffling of the cards as a small frown formed on her lips. "I guess that's fine..." she grumbled before shoving the cards back in the box.

"Chanhee—I was just about to beat your mom, we were tied for wins," Younghoon groaned as the younger dragged him through his and house.

Once they made it to his room, Chanhee slid the door closed just enough so it didn't latch, technically not breaking his parents rules. He looked up at Younghoon before leaning forward and wrapping his arms around the elder's torso, nuzzling his face into his chest. "I just wanted to spend time with you—all we've done lately is spend time talking to my parents," he explained quietly.

Rocking back and forth with the small boy in his arms, Younghoon let out a small hum and kissed the top of his head. "You're not upset about anything, are you? You're usually not this...cuddly."

Chanhee looked at the elder and shook his head, sending him a soft smile, "I'm fine—just tired. Today feels extra long today for some reason."

"What did you and Yeri do?" Younghoon asked, wondering if maybe they did something to explain his sudden loss of energy.

"We just talked."

Humming once again, Younghoon slipped an arm around Chanhee's waist before walking over to the younger's bed. He sat down and pulled Chanhee onto his lap and instead of fighting it, the younger only leaned into him.

"Stay the night," Chanhee urged quietly, "just go through the front door so my parents think you left then come in my window again."

"Chanhee..." Younghoon cooed before reaching out to brush Chanhee's blue hair off his forehead, "I wish I could, but it's a school night—I have to be at home."

"It's fine, I'll just make you call me when you get home," Chanhee sighed, letting his eyes flutter shut for just a moment as he listened to Younghoon's soft breathing and steady heartbeat. Although he only meant to close his eyes for a few seconds, the seconds turned to minutes and soon enough Chanhee felt himself drifting to sleep in the elder's arms. The gentle hand rubbing up and down the length of his back and the warmth radiating off of Younghoon was enough to lull him to sleep.

Confused by the sudden silence, Younghoon glanced down at Chanhee and smiled when he noticed the boy had drifted to sleep. He cradled the back of the younger's head as it fell back into empty space, craning his neck. "You're so cute..." the elder whispered as he guided the boy to rest against his chest.

After a few minutes of just sitting there, Younghoon reluctantly got up with Chanhee still in his arms, knowing he couldn't stay there all night. He laid the boy on his bed, careful not to wake him as he pulled the blanket over his body. Before he left, Younghoon grabbed Chanhee's phone, already knowing the password from the countless times Chanhee had him change music while he was driving. He turned on the boy's usual alarms for the morning before pressing a soft kiss to Chanhee's forehead and heading out of his room.

Just as fast as he left, Younghoon turned back around as he remembered Chanhee still had his makeup on from the day. He grabbed a makeup wipe from the pack on his vanity and gently removed the shimmer from his eyelids and the tint from his lips. "Ok...now I'm leaving," Younghoon whispered to himself as he glanced around once more to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything else. With a replay of the kiss to Chanhee's forehead, Younghoon finally made his way out to the living room, bowing to his parents before heading out.
