"There's something going on with you two," Yeri muttered as she spun around in her chair to look at Chanhee.

Chanhee glanced over at the boy who was sleeping on his desk and shrugged. "There's actually nothing happening between us at the moment because he's asleep," he said softly, sending the girl a smile.

Rolling her eyes, Yeri continued, "you know that's not what I meant. You were busy all last weekend and this weekend too? What's up with that?"

"Oh y'know...that's just life for you."

"Chanhee."

"Yes?"

A dramatic sigh fell from her lips before she pried, "Is there something happening with you and Younghoon?"

"If there was?"

"If there was...I wouldn't necessarily be shocked. But I also don't know if he's great for you."

Chanhee nodded, "And if there was...why would you not be shocked?"

Playing along with the cryptic conversation, Yeri admitted, "because maybe there was a chance a certain somebody confessed feelings to me about another certain somebody which would lead me to believe there was something going on."

Covering his mouth upon hearing her words, Chanhee's eyes widened as he pointed to Younghoon then back at himself. A grin spread across Yeri's face before she nodded. "He told you he liked me?!" The boy hissed.

Feeling as if she'd never get a chance to stop nodding, Yeri explained, "one day he asked me if you were seeing anybody then told me he liked you."

"That's crazy..."

"I've told my part of the story—now you tell yours."

Quickly shaking his head, Chanhee offered, "Come over after school? I'll tell you everything."

"Oh I wouldn't miss it."

"I should wake him up, shouldn't I?" Chanhee asked, trying to decided if it was more beneficial for him to get sleep or do his homework.

"Yah! Kim Younghoon!" Yeri yelled, causing both the sleeping boy and Chanhee to jump.

Sitting up all the way, Younghoon blinked a few times and looked around the classroom. "Yes Yeri?" He asked as if screaming was Yeri's normal tone of voice.

"Chanhee was just telling me how much he hates people that sleep during class."

"I was not!" Chanhee defended, not knowing why the girl was set on sabotage all of the sudden.

"Can I uh...see your notes?" Younghoon asked the boy sitting next to him, flashing a quick smile.

Although he tried to pretend to be annoyed, Chanhee ultimately returned the smile as he nodded, pushing his notebook towards the elder.

Before he started copying the notes, he looked back up at Chanhee and asked, "Do you want to hang out after school?"

With a dramatic laugh, Yeri forced her way into yet another conversation. She pointed to herself and proclaimed, "Me and Chanhee already have plans, buddy. Too bad so sad."

"Buddy...?" Younghoon whispered, his face contorting in disgust, "Don't call me buddy."

"Sorry," Chanhee responded gently, ignoring the girl's unnecessary need to one up Younghoon, "We can do something tomorrow?"

Quickly nodding, the boy muttered a quiet, "perfect," before finally turning his attention to the forgotten notes on his desk.

✨✨✨

"Okay spill—tell me everything," Yeri spoke as she sat down on Chanhee's bed, gesturing for the boy to sit down next to her.

"So..." The boy started, listening and sitting down beside her. A shy smile lingered on his lips, not quite being used to having things to share about his love life in the past. "A few weeks ago Younghoon wanted me to play basketball with him—so I did. Long story short I kissed him...then ran away...but then he came over and told me he liked me. And two weekends ago we went on a date."

A grin spread across Yeri's face as she brought up a hand to cover her mouth. "I don't know why this is so cute—I despise Younghoon," she said, he voice muffled by her hand.

"It is cute..." Chanhee muttered, "well I think it's cute."

"Ok—should I be offended you didn't run to come tell me when you two kissed?"

"It wasn't the first time..."

"What?" The girl hissed, "What other time did you kiss!?"

A small giggle slipped out of Chanhee before he continued, "So do you remember that one time me and Younghoon got detention for causing a scene in class?"

"Yeah...? I thought you hated each other then."

"We did—at least I didn't like him—but before we left we were arguing again in the parking lot and he just...kissed me. Then after that he wasn't such an asshole."

Yeri's bottom lip jutted out ever so subtly, "aw...you were his gay awakening."

"Yeri I don't even know if he's gay."

"Well he likes you..." She trailed off, looking around the room before asking, "So are you two like dating then?"

With a sigh, Chanhee let out a melancholic, "No—I don't know what's going on with that."

Letting herself fall back onto the bed, Yeri hummed, "Do you want to date him?"

"Of course I want to date him...he's so sweet I think he'd be a great boyfriend—but it's not easy for him with stuff going on at home."

Turning to look up at Chanhee, she only shrugged, "You should talk to him about that—I'm sure you guys can figure something out."

"Chanhee! Come help me with something!" Chanhee heard his mom yell from somewhere in the house.

The boy let out a sigh before pushing himself off the bed and muttering a quiet, "I'll be back in a minute," before leaving Yeri alone in his room.

She only laid there for a few minutes just staring at the ceiling before Chanhee's phone began to buzz on the bed next to her. Glancing over to see who it was, a mischievous smile formed on her lips when she read Younghoon's name. "Hello Kim Younghoon," she said into the phone as she held it up to her ear.

"Hi Yeri..." Younghoon sighed.

"Disappointed I'm not your boyfriend?"

"Chanhee?"

"Yes chanhee, who else would I be talking about?"

"Did he say he was my boyfriend?"

"If he did?"

A quiet laugh echoed through the line before Younghoon answered, "oh I wouldn't mind too terribly..."
