"I'm going to beat your ass, Kim Younghoon!" Yeri screamed as she turned the remote in her hands every which way.The boy in question only scoffed, her words encouraging him even more to keep his first place spot. "Yeri, just admit it," Chanhee spoke for his boyfriend, "you suck at every video game you play—especially Mario Kart."
"Are you talking to me about sucking? When you're literally talking for your—"
"I won!" Younghoon yelled before turning to watch Chanhee push Yeri over.
"Hey—you're pretty good," Chanhee spoke to the boy on the other side of Yeri, "nobody can beat Younghoon though."
Changmin smiled at the boy, "just give me some time—I'm sure I can."
"Doubt it," Younghoon deadpanned, his eyes still fixed on the remote in his hands, "I'm going to go get some water...I need to stretch."
"I'm going to go help him get some water," Chanhee chirped.
"Hey—hey! You, Kim Younghoon!" He called out as he hurried out of the room, trying to catch up to the elder.
A groan came out of Younghoon before he slowly turned around and looked at his boyfriend. "What, Chanhee," he huffed, "what?"
"Okay..."
"Why is he here?"
"I didn't know he was going to be here either—Yeri told me the same time she told you. I know you don't like him...but he's not that bad, right?"
Trying to hide the smile forming on his lips as Chanhee stepped forward and hugged him, Younghoon shrugged. "He not horrible...he's nice, but that doesn't mean I like him," the elder grumbled.
After leaning up to place a quick kiss on Younghoon's cheek, Chanhee asked, "Can you be nice please? It's not Changmin's fault that we can't tell him we're dating."
"No."
"Please~" he urged before pecking the elder's lips a few more times, watching as a smile slowly formed on his face.
"Fine."
"Ok, let's go back."
Just as the younger started walking away, Younghoon grabbed his arm, pulling Chanhee back to him. "I still want to get water," he stated, "and you have to come with me."
"Oh I forgot you're too scared to be by yourself with Yeri's parents."
"It's awkward, Chanhee, I don't know how to talk to any adults other than your parents."
Interlocking their hands, Chanhee hummed, "You're cute, you know that?"
"You tell me that all the time."
"Must be because it's true."
✨✨✨
"So..." Changmin started softly as he directed his attention to the boy he knew the least, "I thought you were super popular or something?"
"I am popular..." he muttered. Only a few seconds passed before he felt Chanhee's elbow jab into his ribs, "but we sit by each other in math and we're friends now."
"Best friends," Yeri beamed.
A small laugh slipped out of the youngest when he watched Chanhee roll his eyes at the girl. "I heard you're really good at basketball too—I'm sad I missed the season."
"I don't like to brag," Younghoon started. However indifferent he attempted to be, he couldn't hide the smile rising to his lips at the sudden attention on his basketball skills, "but I was the team captain."
"Are you playing in college?"
A quiet, "ooh..." fell from Chanhee's lips as he watched the smile fade from his boyfriend's lips. Changmin had been doing such a good job of talking to the elder, but the question was still such a tough subject for him.
"I'm not sure," Younghoon answered, his voice getting incredibly softly as he looked back down at his lap once again.
"I'm not sure what I want to do yet either..." Changmin spoke awkwardly, sensing the sudden tension between him and Younghoon, "I'd rather take extra time to think about it than do something I won't love in ten years."
"Enough about school—boring," Yeri interjected as an attempt to get past Younghoon's sudden attitude change, "where should me and Sangyeon go on our next date?"
A gasp came out of Chanhee before he exclaimed, "pottery painting! We went once and it was so fun!"
"Does Sangyeon look like a pottery painting type of guy to you, Chanhee?"
Raising an eyebrow, Younghoon leaned forward so he could see the girl over Chanhee before muttering, "you'd be surprised."
"What did you mean by we went there once?" Changmin asked, a curious expression overtaking his features. "I'm just a little lost..."
The smile on Chanhee's face quickly fell as his eyes widened. He let his guard down for just a moment and completely forgot that the boy sitting across from him had absolutely no idea him and Younghoon were dating. "Oh...me and my boyfriend went on a date there awhile back that's all," he explained hesitantly.
The boy hummed, "I didn't know you had a boyfriend—do I know him?"
"I'm not too sure, we're not rea—"
"I'm his boyfriend."
Chanhee squeezed his eyes shut before bringing his hands up to cover his face. "You just couldn't do it, huh?" He laughed through his hands, the sound coming out muffled and hard to understand.
"Sorry—it just...it just slipped right out, I couldn't stop it."
"It's okay," Chanhee reassured before placing one of his hands 0ver Younghoon's. "we're not really telling people though," he explained to Changmin, "so if you could keep that between us please?"
The boy quickly nodded, "oh don't worry—I won't tell anybody."
"Wait so you're telling me you two go pottery painting in your free time?" Yeri giggled, "just when I thought you couldn't get any gayer."
"It's fun," Younghoon hissed, "Sangyeon loves little stuff like that...maybe me and Chanhee should just take him instead—we'd actually appreciate it."
"Yeah," Chanhee nodded.
A scowl formed on Yeri's lips as she muttered, "can you guys go back to hiding your relationship? You're a lot nicer to me that way."
"You bully my boyfriend all the time," Chanhee groaned, "you just can't take it when he fights back."
"Yeah because you always take his side..."
Instead over answering her verbally, Chanhee lunged across the room on top of the girl and placed slobbery kissed on her cheeks. "I love you, Yeri," he sang, still holding on despite the girl trying to pry him off.
"Chanhee—get the hell off of me!"
