Trust

"My, you're finally awake! How are you feeling, anak?" si Tita Helen nang nakabalik siya sa room ko.

She's still in her corporate attire with her designer bag dangling on her forearms. They all had the worried look on their faces.

"I'm fine, Tita. Besides, I already slept for an hour already. Tamang pahinga na rin po 'yon," me hinting that I want to be discharged and go home already.

Wala naman na sigurong complications other than the cast on my right elbow which is very uncomfortable, I must say.

At kailangan ko ring obserbahan within 24 hours because If ever I vomit, then it's a sign that I might have a blood clot in my head or brain, that's what the doctor said.

"She best stay here for the observation, Mommy," si Kuya Ezra.

I sighed and wandered my gaze across the room. Andy is still here, she's now peeling fruits on the hospital's bedside table.

Even with all the people that I treated as family surrounding me, it still feels like something is missing.

I never wanted to expect, pero alam kaya ni Dad ang nangyari?

And how about him...

We were just at a nearby restaurant.

"I'm sorry, it's my fault. A couple of minutes before the emergency meeting, I already have a hint with what's about to happen. I just couldn't believe what my secretary told me! But I was mistaken! Tita shook her head, apologetically looking at me.

"It was a good thing Lucius was a righteous man. Did you know what happened when you left? Hah! He had Mama and Papa's last will and testament about the company! Ni hindi ko naisip na suriin 'yon—"

"Sandali, Tita. W-What happened? I don't have any idea what you're talking about," putol ko kay Tita dahil hindi ko na maintindihan pa ang sunod-sunod na sinabi niya.

Luci did what?

She sighed and calmed down herself.

"When you left, Luci provided Mama and Papa's last will and testament. I don't know how he got it, ni hindi ko na naisip 'yon. I was too preoccupied by the problem, not even thinking about making any solution. When Luci presented it to the people in the conference room, it turns out that the company is rightfully yours! It'll be under Kuya Oliver's care until you turn 21. And now, you're 21! It's really stupid when Kuya set you to compete for the company with an inggrata." Tita rolled her eyes.

Ilang sandali akong natahimik. I can't seem to digest the information immediately. Lolo and Lola had their last will and testament for me. And it was Luci who helped...

"What? You mean Lucius Alcuesta? Why didn't you tell me that he helped us, Helen? Ayon tuloy, tinaboy ko paalis dito! I even had the bodyguards surround Cara's room to scare him off!" biglaang sabat ni Tito Gilbert.
