33  ▎phone call.

the sound of the phone ringing made jeongguk snap his head towards his bed.

he stands up and went to the bed to pick up the phone and slides his finger across the screen to answer the incoming call.

"what?"

"hi gguk! since it's your birthday today, we decided to treat anything you want. come to the Paradise Bar, we booked a private room in there." hoseok said.

jeongguk sighed at what he just heard, taking a seat on his bed. "hoseok, you know that i don't drink much."

"oh come on! it's your birthday! this will be fun, gguk. i swear."

"no, thank you-"

"taehyung is coming."

jeongguk's eyes widened. "what?"

"we invited him and he can come."

"bullshit. his hyung will never allow him to visit a goddamn bar."

"well his hyung did, as long as he won't drink much and will be safe around us. also, he's gonna pick taehyung up by 9pm. so, you gonna come or not?"

the ravenette sighed deeply. he just can't leave taehyung alone with his friends at a bar. "yeah, fine. i'm coming."

"great! get ready now and we'll meet up at the bar. take care and happy birthday again, gguks!"

"thanks." jeongguk replied before ending the call.

he runs his fingers through his hair locks frustratedly and stands to pick something to wear.

he doesn't have much plan for today. all he's thinking about is do his school works and sleep after.

but, he's kind of glad that hoseok and namjoon planned something for him, for his birthday. he can't help but to feel happy having friends like them.

  ▎some hours ago.

"hyung~ are you there? i'm home!"

"my little bro!" seokjin shouted from the kitchen and made his way to the living room.

taehyung smiled happily and runs to his hyung to give him a hug and the older returned it with a warm hug.

"how's school? did anyone bully you?"

"it's good and no no, no one bullied me. also, ggukie liked my gift." taehyung answered, both pulling away from the hug after.

seokjin smiles at him. "the banana milk and plush? i knew he'll like those. are you hungry? i made your favorite food."

taehyung's eyes sparkled as soon as he heard the words. "japchae?!"

"yes, and dumplings." seokjin chuckled softly. "come, let's have a feast now, shall we?"

"yes! thank you so much, hyungie."

"you're welcome, taehyungie."

"hoseok hyung?"

"hey tae! i'd like to know if you want to come with us to celebrate jeongguk's birthday. would you like to?"

"really? i have to ask hyung first-"

"where are you going to celebrate it?" seokjin asked behind taehyung who entered the bedroom and happened to hear the conversation.

"oh uhm, is this taehyung's hyung?"

"yes, that's right. i'd like an honest answer to my question." seokjin answered.

taehyung looks at the older with nervous expression.

"we.. planned to celebrate it at a bar. but, we booked a private room and it's only the five of us in there." hoseok answered without any lies.

seokjin lets out a hum. "five?"

"yes. me, another friend of ours, jeongguk's brother, taehyung and yeah, jeongguk."

the older muted the call then turned his attention to the brunette. "be honest with me taehyung. what kind of friends are they?"

"they're really kind and ggukie's brother which is jimin is my best friend and he's really nice to me." taehyung answered with a pout as he's very nervous at the moment.

seokjin seemed to believe it just by observing the boy's moves and nodded then he turned on the mic of the phone again.

"alright. i'll let taehyung come with you as long as he's safe and won't drink much. i shouldn't be babying him that much. but, i'll pick him up by 9. is that understandable?"

"yes of course, sir. you can trust us, dont worry. thank you so much mister.."

"jin hyung. just call me jin hyung."

"okay, jin hyung. thank you so much and we'll pick taehyung up in a while. can we have the address?" hoseok asked.

seokjin replied with a hum. "yeah. i'll just text it."

"okay! thank you again, jin hyung. bye!" hoseok said before ending the call.

the older chuckled and shakes his head, sending the address to the man.

"you should go and get ready now, taehyungie. they'll come anytime." he informed the younger.

taehyung nodded with a smile then runs to the bathroom.

seokjin stood up and placed the phone on the nightstand to leave the room and to give the boy some time to get ready.
