Yuri walked alongside him for a moment, still bothered by his bad shoulder. It seemed to have dragged his mood slightly down as though it was something he didn't like to reminisce on.
She wanted Jungkook to smile like before, and forget about his troubles. And Yuri was a stubborn person. Looking around for something to do, she spotted a couple taking a selfie, and another group of friends doing the same thing. Jungkook likes pictures..she thought.
Pulling out her phone, her arm slipped beneath his and she held up the camera towards them.
"Let's get a selfie!"she exclaimed excitedly, surprising the young man who nodded with a smile, following the movement. Yuri soon realized this was trickier than she thought and she had trouble taking the picture. The young man realized her mistake and sent her an amused look.
Muttering intelligible words, Yuri frowned, unaware that she should face the screen for a selfie. "How the hell- ugh well element of surprise ruined thank you Yuri.."she grumbled only drawing a fond smile on his face. She fidgeted with the device for a moment, frowning up at the camera with pursed lips.
Jungkook couldn't help it and wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her against him with a laugh. "Aigoo, what am I going to do with you, you're just too cute, I like you too much!"
"Ah, Jungkooka!"she protested still working on the selfie as the young man set his chin on her shoulder. "Make it face the other way, sweetheart."
"Other way-??"
His hand reached out turning the phone so the screen was now facing them. Shaking his head with a laugh, Jungkook pressed on the screen. "See you were filming so at least it worked in one way."
Playfully glaring sideways, Yuri scoffed. "Yeah yeah, make fun of the dummy, it's very funny hahaha."
"Nah but you're my little dummy"he nuzzled his face in her neck and she blushed, failing in her attempt to hold back her smile. There were too many things she was feeling at the same time, and it made her shy rather than confused.
"Yah, get off"she whispered trying to shrug him off, obviously in vain. In truth she liked it, and her heart swelled in her chest, knowing how much he liked her. Being each other's someone had no comparison. It could never be anyone other than Jungkook.
The more time went by, the more she felt her heart warm up to his care and love. Around him, there was no reason to pretend, or be defiant and cold. She could be herself, she wanted to be. All she truly wanted was for him to be more than okay, be happy. Thrive and feel loved and cared for.
