Chapter 77: Goodbyes

Jungkook hummed as he rearranged the flowers by the bed.

The sun had just come up and he looked at the nice view through the window.

From up there one could see the entire city of Seoul and he sighed before getting back to humming her favourite song of him : Euphoria.

He wished Yuri would wake up and admire the view with him. He hoped she would some day open her eyes and smile at him the way she used to before.

Once the bouquet looked perfect, Jungkook turned to the young girl, still in a coma and sighed before taking a seat by her bedside.

He reached out and held her hand like he always did before sending her a soft smile.

"Hey love. So... we rehearsed for our upcoming tour today. Again. Hobi hyung kept scolding me for nor getting the moves right, but after some practice I managed and it looks great. Wish I could show you."

He caressed her face and gazed at her features that seemed so peaceful, despite the oxygen mask covering her mouth and nose down to her chin.

"The boys will come see you later, Taehyung said he'll bring Yeontan because the poor puppy misses you. Namjoon says hi, he can't make it today he has an important meeting. And um... yeah. As for me, I'm excited for the tour but at the same time I really don't want to leave your side. I'll come back every two week, I promise. I know it's a long time but that's all the manager allowed me to do."

Glancing at the calendar he turned back to her with a sad smile.

"Today is day 123. We've reached past 4 months now, since um... you know. I er... yeah I really need you to wake up soon, okay?"he said as the tears brimmed his eyes.

"Please, Yuria. There's so much I wanna say to you."he finished in a whisper.

"If you can hear me... I just want to say: I love you. And I really... REALLY need you to wake up, open your eyes and talk to me, breathe, laugh just... please come back to me."he said before wiping the tears from his damp cheeks.

"I really miss you, love."he sniffled, clenching his jaw and trying to remain strong.

"Whatever happens, just know that I'll be here for you. So just don't give up just yet okay? You need to fight this and come back to us. We need you. I need you."

As always he waited a few minutes before blinking a few times as he looked down to their linked hands. He leaned down and kissed her knuckles before laying his head on the bed.
