"You're not following."she cut off coldly. "I don't want mere bodyguards barely trying to protect the VIPs by ridiculing themselves into playing around. I want people ready to play dirty, kill if necessary so they remain without a scratch."
If he was surprised, Jake didn't let it show. He raised an eyebrow out of interest and let her go on.
"Think of it as my caution. As long as they're safe, but ACTUALLY safe, I will do everything I can and work with you on the plan. Should they be messed with, the deal ends here."
Jake seemed to think for a minute before he nodded his head.
"I have that. I can lend you twelve of my men. That's a lot. They will watch over the VIPs like guardian angels I vouch for it."
"Good. Also, my mother's mine to kill."
"That's two conditions."

"Then make it two."she retorted with a shrug, holding out her hand. "Do we have a deal or not?"

"It's a deal, love."he said and she nodded her head, satisfied before crushing the cigarette stub with her shoe.
