"We have a pulse!!!"the nurse cried, relieved and turned to the window where Yuri seemed to break down all of a sudden, relieved and exhausted.
She turned around and ran to Jin, letting him engulf her in his arms, breathing in and out, his body still shaking with fear.
Namjoon kept Taehyung against him as the younger man burst into tears.
After seven hours of surgery, Jungkook was brought into a room, still deep in a coma. The doctors said it was only a matter of time before he'd wake up.
They were going to watch over him very closely and make sure the young man woke up normally, with no sequels.
"He should be okay now. We have to make sure he remains stable though, so he will stay in this hospital for some time."
Yuri sat by the bed for hours, morning was there, the day went by and she refused to eat or sleep. She remained by his side, holding his hand and describing everything to him, telling him to hang in there, telling him how she missed him and how she would wait forever if needed until he'd open his eyes again.
Her thoughts wandered back to the whole event and she shed many tears in remembrance of her father and the damage done to the band.
There was one explanation. It was her fault. All of it. From the beginning. Had she not dragged them into this, they would all be fine, touring like any other band, and living their best life.
But they did meet her. And there they were, in a hospital, one was fighting for his life, one was badly injured while another looked after him constantly. And the others anxiously waited, hurt and worried by the turn of events.
She was the source of all their problems and that shouldn't have been that way.
She believed she'd received everything and given nothing good in return. She'd been given friendship, love and a life back. She'd given pain, death and constant danger.
Tightening her hold on his hand she sobbed by the bed, quietly, and shook her head.
"I'm sorry Kook, I'm so so sorry..."she cried, leaning her head in the crook of her arm resting on the mattress by the young man.
Even her father's death was her fault. Her past mistakes were the reason he'd been so unjustly killed...
Nothing could justify any of this, she was convinced of it. Had she not been blinded by the hatred for her mother, none of this would have happened.
