Jungkook stepped out of the bathroom after a shower, groaning at the soreness of his limbs.
He slipped on his hoodie, checking himself out in the mirror to make sure he looked presentable, before leaving the bedroom and walking over to the living room.
Silence filled the apartment, except for a jazz music running in the background.
His eyes set on Yuri's figure standing by the window, her gaze hovering over the city lights.
The future held an uncertainty that used to feel unbothering, but now, it felt unsettling. She had plans for her life, plans with Jungkook, plans for a happy life.
Gentle arms snaked around her waist from behind as Jungkook set his chin on her shoulder, his body communicating its warmth to her.
Relaxing in his embrace, Yuri let out a breath, leaning back against his chest while her hands held onto his, her thumb drawing small circles on the back of his hand.
The music gently played in the background. Yuri turned her head to the side, eyes on Jungkook's face, scanning it, memorizing every trait she knew by heart already.
After a second, the young man met her gaze, smiling softly, a lock of hair falling into his eyes, so she turned around in his arms and reached up, drawing the lock of hair out of his face.
Her fingers lingered on his face, caressing his cheeks as he leaned into her touch with a soft gaze.
The slight frown on her face gave away the deep concern in her eyes as she let her thumb brush his bottom lip. Then her fingers traced the curve of his nose, his brows and eyelids that he closed for a second before setting his eyes into hers, his arms slightly tightening their hold on her.
"What are you doing?"he murmured as she kept going, her fingers tracing the lines of his forehead.
"Memorizing."she answered slowly. "I know every square inch of your face, but I'm afraid that memory might fade away at some point..."
With a gentle smile, the young man tilted his head. "I'm right here, baby. And unlike memories, I'm not fading away anytime soon."
"You might..."she let out in a breath, not meeting his eyes as he flinched at her words.
His hand caught her fingers, making her look at him this time, taking in the seriousness and care in his eyes.
