*Kakashi's POV*

We walked into the venue. All eyes were mostly on her.

She walked with grace, innocence and radiance. She stole the spotlight. I was nothing more than a background image. I enjoyed it.

I felt somewhat proud as we walked around greeting and thanking people, to be honest it was mostly her doing all the talking, but I loved the idea of flaunting my wife.

I was as stunned as everyone, and yet my mind was bothered.

I still tried to wrap my mind around what had happened earlier, her slipping a very flirtatious comment

As we finally took our seat, a little further away from everyone, I could visibly see that she was uncomfortable. I looked at her and she gave me a reassuring smile, and mouthed

"I've got this!"

*Mai's POV*

I absolutely DON'T GOT THIS!

I WAS SO EMBARRASSED!!

Why did I say that to him! I wanted to claw my face off! What would he think of me. This is not me.

The end of the event finally came and I said my last farewells.

I tried keeping it short as I did not want to start bawling my eyes out.

Kakashi was very patient. He sat down quietly as he got lost in his book.

It dawned on me that he didn't have any family attending when I realized everyone had left except for my family and his close friends.

I'll ask him later when we're finally comfortable with each other.

Finally came the two most important people in my life, Saya and Akira.  I tried my best to hold in my tears but as soon as the hugged me the tears just came crashing down.

"I'm so proud of you My Lady, and I will truly miss you!" Saya said as she kissed my forehead.

"We pulled it off my sweet girl. You stole the show!" Akira said as she hugged me and started crying.

"We're going to truly miss you!" They both said as they gave me one last hug.

I took a deep breath and bowed before all of them and made my way over to Kakashi.

I slowly paced over to where he sat and lightly tapped him;

"It's time for us to leave now," I said in a hushed tone.

He stood up and walked over to where everyone was, he the shook hands with everyone and came back to where I was.

He grabbed my waist and asked;

"You ready?"

I nodded.

He did some hand signs and we both flash stepped to his house.

Honestly a nauseating experience but who am I to complain.

His house was quite spacious, smaller than what I'm used but very homey and neat. There was only furniture, 3 photographs and a vase with fresh flowers.  The house lacked one thing, Life.

He let me go and I moved around scanning the place.

"It's nice!" I said as I gave him a small smile.
