Chapter 56: Proposition

*Third Person POV*

After 2 days of recovering Mai and their newest addition were discharged.

The boys were very curious stealing peeks of their little sister.

Sakumo was more curious, trying to sneak into her cot every now and then, while Ken was definitely a mini version of his Dad (always unbothered) minus his laughing whenever we pinched her cheeks.

"She's your little sister, my love's!" Mai said to her boys as she got on her knees to be on the same height as them.

"Sittah," Sakumo said as he waved his hands.

"Mama," Ken said as he jumped to his Mother.

Both boys adored their Father and would never leave him alone. The moment he arrived the boys would cling on to him.

*Kakashi's POV*

I thought Mai would want to rest but as soon as she got home, she bounced back to Her normal self.

"You should take it easy," I whispered into her ear as I hugged her from behind.

"Kashi, stop!" She said with a playful nudge.

I laughed as I backed up. Baby number 3 was enough.

"I mean it Love, you just gave birth you should take it easy, tell me what you want done and I'll do it,"

"Awww thank you love, but no need to stress, you're already looking after the whole Village, this is nothing compared to that, but I appreciate the offer, plus my parents will be arriving any time-

"We're here!!" Lady Akari announced as she walked in.

Lord Yuri headed straight for the boys' room. I could hear them screaming with excitement as they saw their Grandfather.

Akira was with Kushina.

"Mama, Papa!" Mai said,

Their interaction made me realize how she was only 24 and still very young. She was like a child seeing her parents after a long day.

Her Mother gave her a huge hug as she took a look at her beautiful daughter.

"You look amazing my darling!" She said as she kissed her cheek.

"Mama, thank you,"

"Where's my baby!" Lady Akari said with excitement.

Mai lead her to the room. I followed behind.

Lady Akari took Kushina from Akira and immediately bawled her eyes out.

"She looks like Mai when I gave birth to her."

"We'll be here for a day and then we'll leave with the boy's to take some things off the two of you's plates."

"Mai needs the rest too," Lady Akari said.

I understood what they meant.

Happiness filled the house. As a man who loved to be alone this was quite new but I had adjusted.

There was only one problem, I could feel something was off with Mai.

*Mai's POV*

I tried brushing it off but it lingered in my mind.
My Fate.

I knew Kakashi caught on as he kept a close eye on me.

"You trying to avoid me," he said as we walked into our bedroom.

Call it the hormonal imbalance. I cried.

"Kakashi, something bad is going to happen. I can feel it!" I said as I rested my head on his chest.
