Chapter 58: The End (Part 1)

*Third Person POV*

The day finally came.

Kaito explained to Mai what she needed to and that was it.

Just lure him out of the gates and we'll take over from there.

Asami promised to keep close eye on her. Kakashi had Hokage duties to fulfill so her brother stepped in.

"Just follow the plan and act natural like you would in your daily life." Kaito said as they walked out the library together.

The children were over at her parents house.

*Kakashi's POV*

I sent Toshi to get Izumo. I wanted him to be my ears and eyes outside.

An hour later Toshi returned.

His clothing was covered in blood. I felt my body tremble. What happened.

He handed me a letter with bloody fingerprints still visible and the Hirosawa crest on the was seal.

"Sir we found Izumo's dead body with this letter placed over his chest. He, he was stabbed more than 50 times, whoever had done it must be a maniac!"

I felt my heart racing as I opened the letter;

"I have eyes and ears everywhere, I know about the plan, I know about Kaito. I hope you said your Goodbyes Hatake!" ~Lord Hirosawa~

It was as if time stood still.

I felt myself getting lightheaded as I ordered men to retrieve Mai.

By now she should be with him.

"SHE'S IN DANGER!! Kill him on sight!" I ordered.

I took off my cloak and headed straight for where she was.

*Mai's POV*

We've walked passed the same clearing more than five times when I realized I was caught in his genjutsu.

The moment I realized he hit me and I black out.

After what felt like an eternity I woke up.

I squinted my eyes. It was a blurry and hazy.

"W-where am I?" I asked, still trying to adjust my sight.

"Welcome my Love!"  A familiar voice spoke.

"Who's there?!" I screamed as my eyes scanned the room.

"Over here beautiful!" He said as he cupped my face.

"Daisuke!" I said with a gasp.

"Let me go, please, you have to let me go Daisuke!"

"Let you goooooo... I just got you!" He said as he broke into fits of maniacal laughter.

"Daisuke I have children-,"

"Shut up, those filths would've never been here had your Father agreed to let me marry you!!! We were in love you and I!"

He shot me a death stare; "right?"

I looked at him with confusion.

"We were children. I wasn't in love with you. I thought of you as my friend. I enjoyed your company because you played with me, as children should!

"We weren't like normal children Daisuke, we grew up being confined in, because we had titles. When other children trained to be Shinobi's and Kunoichi's we studied the politics of the Lands!"
