Chapter 53: Life together (Part 2)

*Third Person POV*

Mai had been standing in the hallway listening to their entire conversation.

She couldn't believe her brother, the one person she trusted all her life stood beside her and lied. He didn't even have the guts to tell her and he wanted her husband who he just accused to swear to him.

"Mai!" Kakashi called out as she ran to the room.

He followed in suit.

"Love, did you hear all that?"

She sobbed as she sat on the bed and rubbed her stomach.

"Kakashi, I trusted him..." she said as tears fell from her eyes.

"Please don't cry, you know it's not good for the baby!" I said as I pulled her into a hug.

"I'll excuse Asami and be back, please lie down and wait for me," he said as he left.

Asami was already gone by then. He knew he screwed up when he saw his sister but now he didn't know how he was going to apologize. He really hurt her.

*Asami's POV*

Asami arrived home to be met with a worried looking Izumo.

"Lord Tenzo!" Izumo said as I motioned for him to come inside.

"Speak!" Was all I could mutter,

"Sir, your suspicions were correct, there is something stirring within the city, it's just a matter of time before it begins, and my hunch is telling me it's something bad!" Izumo said as he looked worried,

"What's your hunch?" I questioned,

"They're going to strike when the village will be at its vulnerable.... "

"Hear me out, they seem to be playing the long game as if the they're waiting for the right time, an opening, a vulnerable moment hence why I thought the day of her delivery will be the perfect day!"

As much as I wanted it to be a lie deep down I knew, He's right.

Whoever these people are they are out for blood. Whether it be Her blood or Kakashi's.

I swear to protect her and if it meant dying for her survival I was willing to do so. My life didn't matter as much as hers.

"Sir we should inform the Hokage?" Izumo asked.

"Do you have enough information for me relay on to him?"

"No!" He said as he realized all this was based in a hunch.

"Well then we need to gather as much before forwarding these claims as it contains my sister, his pregnant wife."

"We might as well play the long game as well, and watch from the shadows, we need to be 100% accurate before carrying out any missions, haven't I taught you this?"

"Y-yes Sensei, but I just thought it would be best if the Hokage knows!"

"I know you're worried Izumo, because you've seen what horrible men can do, rest assured my sister is in good hands!" I said as I walked over to the fridge.

I had my plate full. I was stressed about marrying Lady Moeri, facing my Parents, the recent happenings between Shizune and I and then the situation with Mai.

"Izumo we should train first thing tomorrow, bring your stuff and meet me in the 5th training ground," I said as I got up, and went to the bathroom.

"Gladly sir, he said as he bowed and left.

I watched my own reflection in the mirror.

How did I get here!!

*Kakashi's POV*

The recent incident must've really hit her.

She was stuck crying for an hour.

When she finally went to sleep I saw her cup her stomach a few times. She was a month away from giving birth, but her actions right now was pitting me at the edge.

As I finally dozed off to sleep I heard her scream out.

"KAKASHHIIIII!!"

I didn't even need a second call. I shot up and turned to her;

"Are you ok?" I asked as I quickly turned on the light in our room.

"She was drenched in sweat,"

"Kakashi, I can feel my chakra draining," she said as her body limped.

I didn't know what to do but my instincts told me that our littlest resident had something to do with this.

I places my hands on her stomach and spoke;

"Hey there little one, I'm guessing you have Mama's powers, that's pretty mighty of you, but you're hurting Mama, so if you can hear Papa's voice please stop and go to bed so that Mama can rest," I said as I placed a kiss on her tummy.

I have no idea if this is going to work but I hope so.

A few minutes passed and I saw her body coming back to normal.

Wow, so even in this stage their woman are strong.

As I kept admiring her sleepy form she woke up.

"Kakashi,..?"

"Yes Love, get some rest!" I said as I caressed her skin.

"What happened?" She questioned.

"Well, remember how woman from your Mothers clan are powerful?"

She nodded.

"Looks like you have a powerful little Lady sleeping in here," I said as I rubbed her tummy again.

Her smile was weak, but visible.

"I hope she gets the best teachers to enhance power's once she starts school," she said she closed her eyes,

"She and the boys will be in perfect hands," I said as I played with her hair.

She dozed off to sleep and I couldn't help but think about us before all this.

How I'd watch and admire her sleeping form.

I'm going to make sure all our children get the best of the best training. They will be under the perfect guardianship and will be taught everything that a Shinobi and kunoichi needs to know.

If it is what she wanted then I will make sure to grant it.

I cuddled her sleepy body.

All my problems have seemed to disappear when I'm with her.

She is my world, and I'd do anything for her.

That being said, I needed her and Asami to talk things out.

That's one of her favorite people and they needed to sort out whatever they had going on.
