Chapter 20: The News

*Third person POV*

I slowly watched as she closed the door and went in.

Her beautiful skin in the morning light.

Hatake, you've managed to find yourself a weakness and Tenzo you will now pay the price.

Lord Tenzo and Hatake will both suffer.

I wanted them to feel the same pain they put me through.

*Mai's POV*

I couldn't concentrate at work.

My mind was wondering off.

I thought about me and Kakashi as I blushed.

"Lady Mai, you seem to be in a good mood?" Chihiro-sama chirped.

"I am, even though I'm a little tired," I said back.

"Does that happiness have anything to do with those marks on your neck dear child?"

I just laughed and shrugged her off.

That same presence. I felt it again.

*tinggggg*

The little bell in the front of the Library cried.

"I'll get it," I said to Chihiro-sama as I walked to the counter.

A tall muscular man with scars on his face stood stoically, "Could you help me?"

"Yes it's my job to do so, how may I help?" I asked,

"History section, a book on secrets of genjutsu's,," he said.

"Ok, that'll be in row 9,"

"Girl, You remind me of someone," he said as he studied me.

"Well I'm glad I opened up an old memory of yours," I said as I smiled.

"What's your name?"

"Mai, Mai Hatake."

"Oh, The Copy Ninjas wife, pleased to make your acquaintance," he said as he gave a slight bow.

"Thank you for the help," he said as he walked off into the rows.

Something felt off about him. I couldn't put my finger on it but I have this gut feeling.

But nothing seems to be out of the ordinary, so I went about my day.

*Kakashi's POV*

"Guy I won fare and square, can we please go now?"

"Just one more time!!!" He yelled.

"Gentlemen!" Genma said as he appeared before us.

"Genma?!" We both said.

"No it's not Genma it's the Nine Tails!"

"You idiots are being summoned by Lady Hokage, please make your way-,"

"I'll race you there Kakashi," Guy said as he took off.

I turned to Genma and spoke;

"Thank you for having my back. She finally told me about it last night and I did forgive her."

"Yeah she told me, I stopped by her on the way here, and by the looks of it, you did more then forgive her," he said as he laughed and swished his senbon.

"You better get going before Guy kicks your ass," he said as he vanished.

*Mini Time Skip*

"I've summoned you both here for two completely different reasons. Guy you are needed in a mission right now, I need you to grab Lee and Tenten and head out immediately!"
