I can picture us
A few weeks from now
Taking graduation pictures
I can specifically imagine us
In one frame
Wearing our togas
With genuine smiles on our faces
Because we finally made it
We survived high school
And you were my high school sweetheart.
But I can picture us
A few years from now
Taking our wedding pictures
And I can specifically imagine us
In one frame
Showing our hands to the camera
Boasting about our silver rings
That will bind our love for all eternity
And as the camera flashes
We reminisce the good old times
When we were just high school students
Deeply infatuated
Realizing that this has turned
To our greatest and last love
When we thought we're just supposed to be
Friends.
And I can still picture us
A few decades from now
Taking our family pictures
And I can specifically imagine us
In one frame
With two other more children
And they're our offsprings
The older one's a boy
And the younger one's a girl
That will be the time you've reached your dreams already
And I already reached mine
We'll thank the stars more than enough
For leading us to each other's time.
