Arizona's POV:

The next few weeks went by quickly, but everything was a little hectic with getting my Mom discharged and back home, after her week of hospitalization.

Mom had started the long process of painfully walking again and even though things were going well, they were going slowly, as predicted.

We had a steady stream of home healthcare providers coming in and out of the house on a daily basis, assisting her every need in order to get her up to speed, as quickly as possible.

My Dad had started his second career, as a, "real estate mogul," and was spending most of his free time researching or touring houses. He would often sit in my Mom's room or in the media room with her, while he showed Mom potential listings. My Mom always had an opinion, but in the end, I don't think she cared too much about the details. Her only request was the house be one level and close to our own home.

As the weeks ticked by, the month of April was suddenly upon us and Callie and I were already in high gear with our wedding plans.

We had decided to initially keep things simple, but that mindset never seems to last when we both plan parties.

Our last wedding was unbelievable and incredibly elegant. Granted, Callie's Dad had picked up a large portion of the bill, or we couldn't have afforded the expense back then, but we were planning on paying for our ceremony this time.

I was sitting in my office, just before 6 pm on the Friday before Easter Sunday, when Callie came walking in.

"Hey sweetheart, how was your afternoon?" Callie kissed my cheek before sitting down and putting her feet up on the front edge of my desk.

"Long. How was yours, Callie? What did you want to do for dinner tonight?"

"I've had better, but I've had worse. And that's why I came to find you before we left. Your Mom and Dad are watching Sophia and feeding her dinner this evening. That leaves us all alone to figure out what we want, or where we want to eat."

"May I take you out on a dinner date, Dr. Robbins? I thought we could go over the wedding plans and figure out a few more details, while we spend some quiet time together."

"An actual date? You mean just the two of us, Callie? How long has it been since we've had time alone, together?"

"Arizona, I can't even recall. We've been so busy between work, your parents, Soph and planning the wedding, we haven't had time to breathe, let alone spend alone time, together. Where did you want to go? I was thinking the dimly lit seafood restaurant on the pier that you love."

"Seafood and pasta sounds like the perfect end to a long work week, Callie. Let's do it! I just need to go change out of my scrubs."

"Do you need any help getting out of those scrubs, sexy girl?"

"Calliope, not here, but you better help me out of my clothes later on. I plan on having lots of wine tonight and should be pretty easy by the time we get home." I winked seductively at Callie, as I walked towards the locker room. Callie turned in time to swat me on the butt as I walked by her and out of my office.

"Fine. I'll just wait here for you to change then." Callie, pretended to be annoyed, but behaved and stayed behind in my office.

It didn't take me long to change out of my scrubs and into the jeans, boots and sweater I had worn into work that morning. I rejoined Callie in less than 5 minutes, grabbed my things and we left the hospital shortly after.

We were still short a car, as mine was probably going to get totaled due to the frame damage it sustained in the accident. We were waiting to hear back from the insurance company, however, before starting the car buying process. I was actually looking forward to car shopping with Callie, it was going to be a new experience we hadn't shared together. In the meantime, having one car was difficult with 3 drivers in the house.
