Arizona's POV:

It was Sunday morning and our last day of vacation. We woke up a bit early, so we could make breakfast for everyone and start loading up our SUV. I had taken down and packed up the tent the night before and we had already collected all our other gear into the garage. Since Callie and I worked that Monday, we were trying to get things ready to go for a seamless departure that early, Sunday afternoon.

When we got downstairs, Renee was already up, sitting at the kitchen table and had made coffee. I almost forgot that, like me, she too, was an early morning riser.

"Good morning ladies, how are you? Such a shame that the vacation is coming to a close. I want to thank you both for letting us crash on your family week, I've had a relaxing time with everyone."

Callie walked by Renee on her way to the coffee pot and patted her on the shoulder and said, "Of course Renee, it was nice to have you both join us. Are you driving home today?"

"Actually, I am going to stay with Ari tonight, but then get up at 4 am and drive back to Portland on Monday morning."

"Guess you guys will be in bed early tonight then." I had interjected into the conversation while propping my head-up, in my hands, on the kitchen table.

"Oh, who are you kidding, Arizona? They will be in bed as soon as they get home this afternoon!" Callie and I started laughing right after she spoke.

All Renee could do was to nod and simultaneously blush in response to Callie's quip.

Pretty soon, Ari and Soph were both up and all of us had our breakfasts. We got dressed and finished packing right after, before loading up both cars. I kissed and hugged Ari and Renee goodbye, as did Callie and Sophia, right before we all drove away. I had already planned with Renee for the 5 of us to caravan with each other, back to our homes on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle.

We waved goodbye to Ari and Renee, about 10 minutes before reaching our own house and after close to two hours of driving together.

The three of us, unloaded our SUV and eventually collapsed on the couches in the media room. It was clear from our lack of enthusiasm that all of us were tired from, post-vacation exhaustion.

While it's not an official diagnosis that's recognized in any version of the ICD, it should be. It's that malaise and fatigue you feel after taking a vacation and then going right back to work... "PVE."

We ordered in for dinner that night and I confirmed my parent's schedule and Sophia's for that Monday morning before taking a quick shower. My folks were going to spend Monday with Sophia, after Callie and I went to work.

And despite normally being responsible, Sophia, Callie and myself, went to bed at 8 pm that night from sheer exhaustion. In fact, Sophia fell asleep in our bed while watching TV between us. Both of us were too tired to do anything about it and so the three of us slept together that evening until I carried Soph to bed around 3 am when her snoring, like Callie's, had peaked.

When Callie's alarm and then my alarm went off at 6 am that Monday morning, Callie tried to fall back asleep.

"Hey you, I thought you wanted to lift weights with me this morning and you promised not to make me your task master, remember?"

"I am Arizona and I'm now rethinking that whole thought process I had yesterday." Callie grumbled, as she tightly spooned me. She was unbelievably warm and is always extra cuddly in the morning. That woman knows how to placate me to get what she wants in the early hours of a new day.

"Good thing you are cute Torres and I'm still wiped out from our vacation. Okay, I'll let it slide this morning, but you get to make dinner tonight while I workout once I get home."
