Callie's POV:

After Arizona exited the house that Sunday, I decided to make use of my free time and quickly texted Rachel. I had made plans with Rachel, the chef that cooked for us during the Babymoon, to help me out next Friday night for our one year anniversary.

Arizona and I both had surprises planned for the other and long ago agreed to plan separate things. I was responsible for Friday and Arizona had something planned for us on Saturday.

I made arrangements with Rachel to have her cater a fabulous dinner and food for that coming Friday night and needed to confirm a few things with her. I had planned a romantic meal, that I would have Rachel make and serve at the condo. The contractor reassured me that all the repairs and updates we wanted, should be completed by Thursday afternoon, next week. That would give me time to get Rachel a key and a tour of the kitchen after work that same day, as she was coming into town that afternoon.

I still had no clue what Arizona had planned, but knowing her, it was going to be something incredible. My wife never does anything half-ass, so I felt like the pressure was on. Plus, I just really wanted to do something special for our second, 1st anniversary.

"Callie? Have you seen the bottle of acetaminophen? I thought I left it in our bathroom?" Arizona had just walked into the media room, where Maddy and I were spending time together.

"It's in the kitchen, sorry. I forgot to put it away last night after grabbing a couple pills for Ari after she'd been crying. It's in the cupboard above the coffee maker. Are you feeling okay, sweetheart?"

"I'm fine, it's for Renee. Turns out someone drank too much last night out of nervousness and is paying the price for it today. She also has little to no remembrance of the events of last night. She didn't realize Michelle and her were getting frisky on the treehouse porch."

"Well, that's convenient." I just shook my head, but I also understood. I've had similar situations in my own life over the years.

"Callie, she's telling the truth and feels terrible about her actions, and what you and especially, Ari, saw. She's apologizing to you later, but wanted you to know how sorry she is."

"I get it and I've done similar stupid things in my own life, so I'm not judging her or mad. Does Renee need anything stronger than acetaminophen?"

"I am going to also give her a Zofran injection, so she'll be doing much better once her stomach is back online. She should be fine after some rest and hydration today. Hey, how do feel about grilled cheese sandwiches and soup for lunch? I was thinking it sounded good on this rainy, Seattle day."

"Sounds great to Maddy and I! Do you want me to go slice some cheese for the sandwiches?"

"Callie, that would be amazing! I'm going to run these things out to Renee and will come back to help."

I smiled, as Arizona charged off to head back to the treehouse and I sent out my texts.

Maddy and I had just finished tummy time for the morning, so I carried her into the kitchen with me so she could sit in her bouncy seat while I prepped food and we talked. Okay, Arizona says I mostly abuse her as my listening audience and sing to her every chance I get... which is actually quite correct.

Arizona was back inside in less than 10 minutes and the two of us made lunch for our house and Renee.

Sophia and Zola decided on the alphabet soup from the pantry, while Arizona and I opted for the cream of broccoli soup we had on hand in the fridge from Friday. Once lunch was over, the tweenagers went back down to the home theater room and returned to their movie. Arizona and I retired to the media room couch, with Maddy in tow.
