chapter 3:Risking it all

I stood in front of his door and took a deep breath,as I was about to knock the door opens and he widens his eyes as soon as they fell on me,he even looks taller then before and more scary I don't know why. I look at him without saying anything he even kinda looks more hot or is it just thirst talking.

"Surprise"I awkwardly say regretting this already,I don't know what the hell am I doing showing up in a stranger's house without a warning.I feel so stupid and awkward.

"Hey,this is nice except for the 'surprise' part,that was weird"he says imitating my voice and I thin my eyes in a threatening manner.

"Anyways...are you going somewhere?"I ask scanning his outfit,I don't know if its his body that makes him look this cute cause his outfit is so effortless and yet he looks so yummy.

"Well since I got stood up by some pretty lady, I figured I should just go chill with the gents and drown my sorrows"

"Well I have my reason's okey but I'm here so we can still have our date right?"I hand him the bag with wine and ice cream that I bought on my way here and he looks at me and huffs a laugh before taking the bag.

He opens the door fully and stands aside for me to get inside.

"Please take a sit and make yourself feel at home"he says making his way to the kitchen,I scan around his apartment,its a open plan with a mini dining table for 4, a lounge with a coffee table and a L shaped couch and a smart TV,a kitchen with built in cupboards and kitchen appliances its actually a normal apartment that belongs to a man nothing fancy just all the basics.

I took off my heels and made myself comfortable on his couch. He comes holding a wine glass,a bottle of wine and a bottle of beer and places them on the coffee table, he pours me a glass of wine and hands it to me. I thank him and smile as I except the drink ,he looks at me and softly chuckles shaking his head.

"What?"I ask furrowing my eyebrows with a small smile.

"I am just trying to understand what type of crazy are you. I mean I am a total stranger who might be serial killer yet here you are with me in my apartment"

"Well I am a very good judge of character and what's the worst could a guy like you do to me"I ask rolling my eyes.

" many psycho's look very normal you would surprised,I once read an article about a lady who got a lift from this random guy and this guy seemed pretty normal like he seemed perfectly fine you would swear he is not mentally ill until he stopped in the middle of nowhere,raped her and choked her to death"

"Well I wouldn't mind getting choked by you"I lowly say smirking and drank my wine gazing at him,he chuckles blushing.

"Milornke I'm being serious"

"I mean it wouldn't be such a bad way to die don't you think"I ask thinning my eyes.

"Milornke like I am serious its dangerous out there and anything can happen to you so don't you ever do this again"he says in a more possessive and deep voice with his eyebrow raised and I felt my stomach doing twirls and back flips.

His cellphone rings and he stands to answer the call. I check my phone and a message from Andile pops on my screen.

We got the perfect venue and everything is ready for a wild night choymi💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

I send him a dancing sticker and switched off my phone. Arin comes back furrowing his eyebrows scrolling on his phone.

"What's going on"I ask concerned cause I can see the worry written all over his face.

"No my...my manager just called saying a friend of mine from New York was looking for me and even asked for my address"he looks at me frowning and I look away clearing my throat.
