A moment in time

Chapter 11: celebration

"Good morning beautiful" a husky gruff voice greeted as I yawned. I slowly opened my eyes.

"What's the time"I asked covering my eyes with my one hand. He pulled my hand away from my face and looked at me smiling.

"Your alarm rang 30 minutes ago" he reports. I looked at furrowing my eyebrows.

"No you can't be serious" I quickly sat up and rubbed my eyes removing the sleep left.

I jumped out of bed and took my phone from the pedestal to check the time.

"Fuck. Why didnt you wake me up?"I ask rushing to my walk in closet to take the small luggage bag I had packed my clothes in.

"You looked so peaceful I just couldn't do it"

"Eyy this is not the time to be all mushy and cute. Help me clean this room and get everything in the car. Fuck." I walked to my closet and grabbed my three pairs of shoes and my jewelry box and placed it on my vanity counter then wore my slide and rushed to the bathroom to shower.

I quickly got done with my hygiene purposes and got ready in my nude brown body tight fitting dress that went just below my knees in length and a vest neck design. I paired the outfit with my white sneakers

"Are you done with everything?"I ask as I walked to the vanity to wear my blond curly 19 inch weave and to apply some minimal make up. I turned to look at him as he slowly packed my jewelry box and 3 pairs of shoes in my small luggage bag. The bed was made and he acrually tidied up almost everything, is this guy a magician or what.

"Well now I'm done"he says as he finished closing the bag. I looked at his reflection on the mirror and smiled.

"Thanks dude" he raised his eyebrow in a stern look and shook his head taking the bag. He genuinely doesn't like this 'dude' word.

"Anything else you going with?"

"Well only that and my purse. Did you make sure that my charger and WiFi router are in my purse?"

He nods taking the purse and bag.

"Well thats all just please do me a favour and just drive out my car from the garage and just leave it on the drive way. You will see the keys on the key holder on your way out"

He walks out leaving me to continue with my make-up.

I got done and took my phone heading out. I grabbed a packet of chips and two chocolate bars before leaving.

I found him standing by my car scrolling down his phone.

"Here since I didnt even offer you breakfast"I hand him the bar of chocolate and he looked at my hand and at me again then took the chocolate chuckling.

"Never had chocolate for breakfast but hey its something"

"Well you didnt sleep at a hotel so..."I shrug.

"If you don't mind me asking where are you going?"

"At my niece's lobola celebration thing I'm not sure but I have to be there and if we carry on talking like this I won't make it so the car keys please"I ask with my hand out,he places the car keys on my hand and puts his hands in his jacket pocket.

"Can I take you out when you back?"

"As friends sure"

"So as friends who want each other but for some reason can't be with each other even though all they want is to be inside each other but the other doesnt want to be with the other...I think I get it" he says sarcastically,I chuckle rolling my eyes.
