"I don't have much to say but I wish you all the best lil sis in all that you guys do and I hope and pray that this is the beginning of a great and healthy relationship. May you always be one and not let any thing or anyone break your union" I walked over to hug her as the crowd applauded.
I was unexpectedly called to say a speech and words of encouragement to Zizipho and her fiancé Mike. Having to pretend that I'm cool with Mike is one of the things I just can't come to terms with cause he is sitting there smiling as if he hasn't destroyed my little cousin's future by bombarding her with a whole human being at such a fucken young age. As much as a baby is a blessing but now Zizpho has to come to terms with the fact that now she won't be able to do half of the things she would've like to do or explore because of this huge responsibility and I understand that its her life and maybe she will manage but I just don't see how this will work out for her.
After a few speeches the program came to an end and everyone stood up to either leave or get something to eat. I had already told myself that I'm going to book myself in one of the closest BnBs cause there is literally no way that I am going to be sleeping here in this yard and now the time is 17:45 so the sooner I try to leave the better cause already my feet are killing me. I need a hot and steaming shower.
I went to get myself a plate of food and walked back to my car to enjoy there in peace. I just opened the door and sat there with the door open watching people drinking and passing by. As I was sitting I heard people talking on the other side of the car but since it is dark I can't see properly who they are but I can hear them whispering. I move to the other side lowering my window a little to hear properly cause it seems like an argument of some sort.
"She will never find out and if we don't take this money then Ntsimbi will kill us both" A familiar voice hissed and I just knew who it is. I lowered my window even more,it was Nombi and this guy who was getting on my nerves about his car and a parking spot earlier on.
She noticed me and nervously smiled approaching. The other guy went the opposite way.
"You look so beautiful my daughter. You know to me Milonke no matter what you will always be my daughter and I will always love you and Zizipho forever cause people don't know what we three have been through together"
I giggle shaking my head. "Nombi don't you get tired. Like don't you just get fed up"I ask folding my arms.
"What are you talking about?"
"Nombi you and I both know that you can fool everyone in this yard but not me so don't act stupid"
"Milonke my child why do you always see the bad in me. I jus-
"Nombi its just us two here so please don't annoy me. I heard you and your partner planning over there about some money that you don't have. So we both smart people so we know that the only money that you have access to is the lobola (bride price) money that just came in today fresh from the bank" she looked at me with a straight face without saying anything.
"Nombi I'm talking to you"
"Stay away from things that don't concern you"he warns and I chuckle softly tilting my head.
"I knew it. Cant wait to see what plan you have up your sleeve this time around sweety"
She huffed walking away and I took my plate and got out of the car following behind.
I went to the kitchen to put away my plate and said my goodbyes to everyone there then proceeded to the lounge where the to be wedded couple are chilling with their friends over alcohol.
"Guys sorry to disturb I just came to say my goodbyes to our bride and groom cause I'm leaving now but I will be back tomorrow morning,I just didnt want to leave abruptly"
