Chapter 18: Drunk in love

After taking the longest shower I got dressed in my PJ shorts and top and laid on my bad crying. I had switched off my phone the moment I got to my suite to avoid everyone especially the bunch,they've came to knock on my door four times if not five.

I laid on my bed gazing at the sea and stars with my teary eyes. I had turned the lights off,the only light came from the moon and streetlights outside. I wish my life could stay like this...quiet and still,only the sight of sea and how subtle yet loud it is. If that even makes sense.

The question I'm avoiding right now is how I'm going to survive this,am I even going to survive this I mean I'm sure right now the whole country is butchering me. Fuck. From this day onwards I don't wanna ever see or smell gin and tonic water like I swear the moment I get home I'm throwing away anything with gin or tonic water. I should've  just sticked to my wine it never betrayed me.

I zoomed off into a deep slumber as I buried myself in thoughts.

I woke up to a sight of 4 people watching over me as I opened my eyes. I thought I was in hospital for a minute.

"What the fuck are y'all doing in my room this early"I whispered rubbing my eyes.

"Good morning to you too"Tumi whispers back.

"How are you feeling"Andile asks in a whisper and Blondy looks at us furrowing her eyebrows. "Why are we whispering"she asks in also a whisper looking around. We all laughed looking at her.

"Okey on a serious note,how are you feeling"Andile asks with a straight face. I exhale closing my eyes.

"Can't I not feel,just for today I just don't want to question how I feel or know how I feel"I sit up brushing my messy hair to the back with my hands.

"What happened?"Thunz asks thinning his eyes. They all gave me a concerned look.

"Gin and  tonic happened"

"Bitch I had told you many times before to stop drinking all these other beverages cause your body can't stand them"Tumi scolds folding her arms.

"After I told you that you should avoid anything that will result in you trending and you told yourself you will do your worst and spew vomit all over the stage including Mr Sibalukhulu"Andile scolds and I give him the side eye look.

"Wena you are worse than me I mean where did you even get alcohol?"Thunz asks chuckling.

"Look I know y'all are concerned and shit but I have a very bad headache from crying and drinking so please just disappear from my room"

"Freshen up and get dressed we going to the mall or something. You can't stay locked up here forever"

"Noba ninxilile,andiyi ndawo mna (you mad,I'm not going anywhere)"I reply laying on my bad as they stood up to leave. 

"Let's leave this bitch here alone cause she is being an ass while we trying to help her"Andile says as they walked out. I took my phone and stared at it as I contemplated if whether I should open it or just leave it until everything settles. I slid it under my pillow,stood up to drink my headache pills and napped again.

When I woke up,the time on the wall reported that it is 12:10. I got up and went to freshen up. I got dressed in my grey sweatpants and white sport bra with fluffy slippers for shoes. I combed my weave and tied it into a messy bun then cleaned my room. As I sat down in my bed I took my phone but still I really didnt have the strength to see what people are saying about me. I took my wallet and made my way to the restaurant to order food. One thing I won't do is stay locked up in my room like a coward.
