I opened my eyes and giggled at the sight of Ndumiso standing over me.

"And then?" I ask sitting up.

He takes my hand into his. Gosh I hope he is not proposing please not today.

I look at him as he caressed my hands.

"Happy birthday Ntwenhle, regardless of everything thats been happening I want to make sure that you have a special one to remind you that you are an remarkable human being and I'm blessed to be able to call you mine"

He grabs a Cartier gift bag on the floor and places it on my lap.

"Ndumiso no this is so expensive no ways I can't take this"I whispered in a shaky voice shaking my head.

"Aren't you gonna open to see what's inside?"

I covered my eyes with my hands as I broke into tears. Hell I dont know why Im crying I always get so emotional on my birthdays.

I felt his arms embracing me in a hug as a whole river of tears gushed out. I hate crying but this is so overwhelming and heartwarming,through everything I'm going through just being appreciated and reminded that I'm amazing in another persons eyes. Ndumiso is gonna be the end of me.

I broke the hug wiping my tears. "Ndumiso what the hell are you doing to me,this is heartwarming...thank you"

"Its my pleasure sweetheart"

"And you did not just see me crying"I protest.

"I didnt see anything"

We both laugh as I opened my gift. Its a pair of silver earrings with a bracelet and they are the most beautiful pieces of jewelry I've ever owned.

"They are so beautiful. I love them"

"I'm glad you do my love. I bought them for you to wear at the dinner date I planned for us tonight"

"Another surprise. Where we going?"I asked excitedly.

"You know I won't tell you,just dress to kill and I'll take care of everything else"

"Okay fine"

I get out of bed and place my gift back in the gift bag.

"So wanna know what I'm thinking"I ask wrapping my arms around his neck.

"What?"

I wiggle my eyebrows and burst out laughing at how stupid I am.

Ndumiso chuckles thinning his eyes. "What is?"he wiggles his eyebrows

I stick out my tongue wiggling it and he laughed squeezing my ass.

He stood up and picked me up. I let out a scream giggling as I wrapped my legs around his waist and smashed my lips on his, he threw me on the bed and came on top of me...
