My date with Arin was actually one of the best dates ever,he exceeded my expectations. My Igbo oga. I personally never thought I'd be amazed by a date setted out at the beach but yeah it was simple and yet so nice. The quietness, the set up,the view and mostly the food everything was amazing.
After the amazing day we decided to book a hotel and spent the night together no phones or any of our gadgets and even though I was a bit hestitant I gave in and I never felt so relaxed and stressfree in a while. Monday afternoon when I got home I found that Zizi had left with some of her clothes and yeah we haven't spoke since the incident with Mike. I'm actually at peace with that surprisingly cause I managed to take days off to just reflect and focus on my mental health.
Now its Thursday and its back to the office, its really tense cause Andile is giving me the silent treatment because of something I did four days ago I mean okey maybe I was wrong for leaving him stranded in an event I invited him to but then being mad won't help.
"Andile can I ask you to just take all my cases and clients and just divide them amongst the senior advocates cause right now I'm not in a great space to be representing any clients" I ask with my eyes glued on my computer screen.
"Yes ma'am" I look at him and he didnt budge,he just continued with what he was writing and to be honest I miss him and his dramatic self so this whole thing is tiring nje.
I closed my laptop and sighed looking at him and still he didnt look at me.
"Andile please this is torture"I whine stomping my feet. He looked up and huffed looking back down again on what he was doing.
"Okay how can I make it up to you like anything Andile just tell me"
He took a deep breath and looked up clutching his hands together.
"What you did is unforgivable Milonke Ndilika...but then I'm not a person who holds grudges so maybe we can come to an agreement or something"
"Anything just say the word"
He stood up and came over to sit on the chair across me while scrolling on his phone.
"Maybe this will somehow make me forget about what you did"he says giving me his phone showing me a picture of red bottom LV heels.
"Why am I not surprised?"I ask chuckling softly as I gave his phone back,he just shrugs taking his phone.
"Okay then its done"
"Finally yhoo the things we do for fashion. Anyways I have a lot to tell you, after your big ass left the event on Saturday Mr Ntonga junior had an altercation with his father in front of fucking everyone and he has been trending all over social media since that night"
"Bitch don't lie"
"Yewena listen. I don't know what happened but Mr Ntonga made an appearance stealing the attention of the whole event and making promises that dont even make sense you know how he is on these events mos. So I dont know when or how but BOOM out of nowhere we heard Mr Ntonga junior shouting and insulting his father of being an evil person who uses innocent people for his own good and he has destroyed his life. Yhuuu you could have seen how broken and livid he was, it was alot"
"It was about fucken time though"
"I know right I-
A knock on the door disrupts us and I almost choke on my saliva.
"Ndoda yomXhosa...what the hell are you doing here?" I ask scanning him,the guy had a bouquet of roses in his hands looking like he is about to ask me to go to prom with him or something like what the hell is this now.
