Chapter 13:to the graveyard

The following day we had to wake up early cause Ndumiso had a important meeting to attend to.

I walked out of the bathroom wearing my brown silk below the knee lengthed skirt and a white T shirt. I walked to the wall mirror to fix my head wrap on my hair. He looked at me with a smirk as he tied his shoe laces.

"What?"

"So is this a way of telling me you ready"he asks and I roll my eyes smiling.

"Yes it is so what you gonna do?"

"Don't tempt me cause I will show up at Mathabe with cows"I looked at him with my eyes widened and we both laugh.

"Let's leave before your stupid ass runs late"

He took the bags and left then I took my purse and phone then followed behind.

We stopped by a place that sold fat cakes to grab something to eat. We bought fat cakes with fries, sausages and drinks then we went to fetch my car by his friend.

We came to a halt on the side of the road about 25 minutes away from Mathabe and we ate our food as we waited for his friend.

"So have you heard anything about the...you know"I ask putting back the fat cake in the take way packet.

"I told you don't sorry about that. I thought we agreed that thats my problem alone" I give him a stern glare.

"What?"he asks acting stupid. I roll my eyes keeping a straight face cause I don't understand why the hell is he keeping me in the dark.

We sat in silence with him staring at me as I eat. A few minutes later my car approached and pulled up in front of Ndumiso's car. I've never been this excited to see it. I wiped my oily hands with hand wipes and got out of the car to check out my car.

It looked new and clean I wasn't even sure if its the one that I had bought.

The guy driving it got out of the car and handed me the car keys smiling.

"Guys what did you do to my car?"I ask scanning it. The guy looked at me smiling and looked at Ndumiso.

They did a handshake and Ndumiso walked over to me as I opened the door to get in.

"Is it comfortable?" He asks as I got in the car.

"My hands are shaking" I alert looking at them, he looks at my hands that were clutched on the starring wheel uncontrollably shaking.

I heard a loud bang and almost jumped out of my sit holding on to Ndumiso's hand for dear life. My heart literally stopped for a minute.

"Sweetheart its just the boot closing" he tranquilized and I turned to see the other guy standing behind my car. I nod but my hands and almost my whole body are still shaking uncontrollably and I am heavily breathing.

"I don't think you going to be okey driving alone no-

"Ndumiso I'm going to be fine. I'm just trying to process everything right now but I'm going to be fine" I took a deep heavy breath closing my eyes.

"Milonke are you sure you fine?" I nod numerously as I tightly gripped on the staring wheel. He sighs and closed the door startling me again.

"Milonke you are so jumpy I doubt that you'll even make it to Mathabe in this state"

"Ndumiso I'm fine. I just need to get used to everything and I'll be fine"I assure.

"No I won't take the chance I'm taking you to Mathabe"he said walking to the passenger side of the car.
