A moment in time

CHAPTER 43

Today I'm finally leaving this place and to say I am happy would be an understatement of the century. Its been a whole week and 4 days of me being stuck in here like thus place went from being peaceful to being weird and uncomfortable within days thanks to Dr. Muzuru and Ndumiso.

Ndumiso has been sending me flowers and food everyday, I even asked the receptionists and nurses to take any food or flowers that were sent for me.

Dr.Muzuru on the other hand has been on my space a little too much,at first it was cute but now he is crossing the boundaries,this other day he made a comment on how the leggings I was wearing that day exposed my curves and ass then on top of that he seductively licked his lips. I don't know if I gave him the impression that I like him or whatever but that just put me off and made me look at him in a different light. I don't find it cute at all when men make  inappropriate remarks about my body especially if we not that close like why?

"Knock knock" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked towards the door,I was met by Dr.Muzuru looking energetic as always. He walked in and handed me the forms I had to sign before leaving.

"You excited to leave?" He asks as I took the forms from him.

"You have no idea"

"This place wont be the same without you,I mean its no secret that you were my favorite patient"he says before chuckling

I signed the forms and flashed him a faint smiling handing them back to him. "I'm sure you will be just fine"

"Maybe we should have lunch or dinner some time,what do you think?"he asks scanning the form I just signed.

"Well I hardly have time for those type of things so I don't see that happening"

"I also hardly have time but I'll at least try,I'm sure you can do the same"

I exhale brushing my forehead. "Listen Dr.M I dont even want to get your hopes up or anything like if you looking for a girlfriend or you see someone who you'd potentially date in me then cima cima(dont) cause like I'm not there at all, you are someone that I see as a really good friend... nothing more"

"Friends?"

"Yes,friends"

"Okay,can we go out then as friends?"he asks.

"If I'm free on that particular day then cool"

"Okay then friend can I at least get a hug before you leave?" He asks opening his arms. I went in for a hug and he held on a little longer making the whole thing awkward.

I cleared my throat pulling away.

"You smell really good"

"Thanks. I have to leave I'm sure my ride is on its way" I mention taking my bag and purse. He moved making a way for me to pass and I walked past him leaving.

I'm just glad I won't be dealing with him anymore.

I got to the parking and within 3minutes my ride arrived.

I got home and found luggage bags and boxes packed by the door.

"Zizipho?". I walked to the lounge and as I looked around I heard footsteps descending the stairs. I looked up and was met by Zizipho carrying another box.

"And then?"

"I am moving out. I really don't want to ruin the relationship we have even further and I figured that it would be best if I moved out cause we just toxic for each other right now"

"Okay,as long as you are happy with your decision then I'm great"I assure smiling.

"You not mad right?"

"Why would I be? I also feel like I need space to myself and if you feel like that also then that's just the best thing andifun noxoka( I don't wanna lie)"

"O-kay"she goes on to put the box in her hands along with the other boxes and I made my way up to my bedroom to take a shower cause I feel like I can still smell the hospital and Dr. Muzuru's strong cologne on me.

I got ready for my shower and took a long steaming shower. After my shower I got dressed in my black leggings and sweater. As I moisturized my face with my face creams I heard a car driving in. I looked threw my window and saw  a Mercedes Benz V-class.

I made my way downstairs and found three guys helping Zizipho to take things to the car. Zisi was crying in Zizipho's hands as Zizipho was busy instructing the three guys on what to be careful off and what to put where.

"Let me hold him for you"

She handed him to me and carried on to move her things to the car.

I hushed Zisi popping his pacifier in his mouth and after a while he stopped crying. He fell asleep as I hushed him and peacefully slept like a little angel. 

After everything was packed in the car Zizipho came back to us.

"Is he sleeping?"

I nod smiling. "He is"

"Can we sit down for a moment. I need to tell you something"

I look at her furrowing my eyebrows. "I hate that sentence,what is it?" I ask sitting down.

"I didn't tell you the whole truth which is...I am going back to Mike,him and I talked things through and decided that for Zisi's sake we should try again"

"That's okay,as long as you guys just give him the opportunity to grow up in a loving home I really don't care about anything else"

"Thats not all" she cleared her throat brushing her  thighs nervously. "Mike got a job opportunity in London so within the next two weeks we moving there...for good"

I looked at her without saying anything.

"Milonke please say something"

Tears escaped my eyes as I felt a lump forming in my throat. "Are you sure about this?"

She nodded as tears streamed down her face.

"Then thats okay. I want you to be happy okay? If you sure about this then its okay"

"Will you be okay?"

I nod wiping my tears. "I promise I will be,as long as you promise you'll take care of yourself"

She nods as we both teared up.

"Please take care of him and protect him...at all costs. Promise me"

"I will with my life. I promise"she assures smiling. "I just wish things didn't have to be this way"she breaks down again covering her eyes with her hands.

"Don't cry. We both knew this day would come where we both grow apart and I'm happy I promise. I'm happy to see you blossom and making decisions that will benefit you and your son, I'm just happy for you"

"Thank you for this. I was so scared of how this will all go and I really didn't want to tell you but I'm glad I did"she says wiping her tears.

"Please promise to call at least once a week and send every picture of Zisi you take and most importantly I want you to know you'll always be my Zizi so whenever you need me never hesitate to call. I promise I'll drop anything and be there as fast as I can"

"I promise"

Her phone buzzed and she checked it before exhaling. "We need to leave"

I stood up and planted a kiss on Zisi's forehead before handing him to her.

We also embraced each other with a hug and I said our goodbyes before walking then out.

I watched them as they got in their ride and drove out.
