Her face was a work of art itself, with high cheekbones, full lips and a perfectly straight nose. My breath hitches when those gorgeous eyes swept up their long lashes and seared me to the core. My own heated to meet hers.

Her soft chuckle echoed, before I felt her attention shift from me. 'Glad to have your back.'

Dani shrugged, 'I figured I'd just come home, considering you all missed the fun in your lives.'

Kena rolled her eyes. Startling me out of my awe, she turned to me. Her scent swept me up and wrapped me in a blanket of awareness. She walked towards me, fire branded across my chin as her fingers gripped the delicate skin, tipping my chin up so that I had no choice but the look in her eyes. 'What is your name?' She whispered, those fire-born eyes staring into mine.

'Accalia.' I breathed, her eyes lit up like the evening sunset. God she was so breathtaking.

'Hmm,' The low sound caught my attention and drew it to her mouth as her full lips pursed. She released me suddenly, without a parting look at me, she turned to stride into the building. I shook off my wonder, palming my jaw as the warmth she branded across my skin smoldered. Watching her leave, Leto whined at the lack of warmth.

'Well,' Dani clapped her hands together, pulling my attention in her direction. 'That was quite the interaction. Went better than I thought. Let's go, I'll show you the house.'

I frowned, Dani showed me around the gigantic house. Some areas were still being build or fixed up. The huge living room lead us to another hallway which split itself into two different halls. 'The left are the warriors. Right side is the guardian hall, so basically the group you met before.' Dani rumbled on.

The roof of the hall was a gigantic mirror, there were paintings on the wall of different kind of wolves. I recognized the painting of the white wolf and the two wolves next to her. Kena and her brothers, yet Conan was missing. 'Each painting in this house tells a story. The one on the right is a painting about the Greek Gods and the first wolves.' My mind reeled as I struggled to take in the information she provided.

Dani laughed as she noticed the look of frustrated interest, she paused. 'You have no clue huh?' I shook my head. 'You'll learn soon enough.'

She continued to show me around the house until we reached a door, the room smelled like lavender. 'Wait here, I am just going to grab you some extra clothes before I show you your room.' I waited in the hallway, my eyes drawn to the stairs at the end of the hallway. Dani popped her head of the door, following my eyes. 'Kena has her own private area,' She walked towards a door further down the hall and opened it. 'This is where you'll be staying.'

I took in the medium sized room warily, the room had a small cot, a nightstand and a beautiful bathroom. The mattress looked fluffy enough and there were some blankets. 'Aita will drop you off some more clothes after she is done with her shift at the infirmary.'

'Thank you Dani.' I sighed, a heavy feeling on my chest. Had I made a mistake coming here? Kena held something powerful over me and it was different that the mate bound people used to describe. Kena her cold appearance yet her touch was sweet and burned me to the core. I heard her light shuffle as she crossed the room and sat down next to me. 'Kena... is a difficult woman. She and we all have been through a lot. But.. she never gave up on finding you,' She spoke softly, squeezing my hand. 'Give her a little time to adjust.'

'Alright, thank you Dani.'

She smiled, leaving the room and closing the door behind her.
