~Azalea~
A low growl escaped me, as I kicked against a small rock. Frustration taking over. We had been roaming around the forest for a while now. I forced my feet to keep moving, but exhaustion was slowly taking over. Camille eyed me, 'We are close, don't worry.'
Jen and Rose were walking a behind us, making sure no one was following us. Every sound startled us, the only one able to shift was me. But I couldn't handle fighting Lycans by myself. Camille suddenly stopped, pointing to a huge statue covered in moss, the veins of the bushed were slowly climbing up the Lycan statues body. It was magnificent. I walked over, my eyes drawn to the small plate as I wiped the dirt of it and read, 'A myth, my mate and my everything.'
I frowned, I didn't recognize the statue at all. Although the statue had been there for a long time, nature could've broken down some pieces. 'That is statue one right, we have to move east now?' I whispered, Jen nodded her head yes. Her eyes were heavy, as the exhaustion was getting the better of us. Before we realized we slid down the statue, yawning loudly. 'Maybe just.. rest for a little.' I muttered. Leto growled as she let out a disapproving sound. The grass surrounding the statue was extremely comfy as I closed my eyes.
Soft nudging suddenly startled me, I groaned as I refused to open my eyes. Once against something soft poked my face, followed by a lick. My eyes widened and I opened my eyes. I came face to face with a gigantic white wolf. His silver gold eyes staring right into mine. 'Who are you?'
He titled his head to the side, his tail wagging as he sat down on his butt. He didn't respond, just kept watching me his tail wagging faster. I eyed the women next to me as I moved to wake them up. A low growl escaped him, yet powerful enough for me to instantly sit back down. I frowned, 'Who are you..?'
He pointed his large muzzle in the air as he stood, walking around the statue. I groaned, rubbing the sleep out my eyes. I must be hallucinating from the lack of sleep. His muzzle once again poked my face. A growl escaped me, 'What do you want!'
His eyes darkened but quickly returned to a lighter shade, his big head motioning for me to follow him. Leto seemed to be completely content with the big wolf in front of us. Yet I couldn't help but be unsure of the situation.
'I can't leave my friends.' I spoke softly.
He pawed the ground, his large body standing in front of Jen and Camille. He let out a low bark, trying to tell me something.
Leto barked softly, 'They will be okay.'
I frowned, but stood nevertheless. His large body pressing against me as he pushed me forward. Leading me through the forest and flowers I had never seem before. We walked deeper into the forest, I saw another statue but the scent of the flowers was intoxicating.
A low bark startled me, my gaze darted back to the silver eyes of the wolf. He tilted his large head again, watching me intensely. 'You don't talk do you?'
I knew for a fact I had to be hallucinating due to the lack of sleep and food. He shook his head and his eyes had a hint of adoration in them. I sighed, nodding my head. His intense stare was making me uncomfortable. The sound of my stomach rumbling got his attention as his ears stood high, he let out a low grow before he closed his eyes. His nose high in the air before he ran off.
'Where you going?'
The scent of the flowers was overwhelming and there were hundreds of them. The scent was almost soul-food for my aromatic sensibility. My eyes shot to the wolf that had returned, a death rabbit in his mouth. My stomach rumbled in response and my mouth watered at the sight. But I wasn't going to eat that in my human state.
He dropped it in front of me, nudging it closer as he wagged his tail. I knew I couldn't shift into Leto just yet, we were too weak. 'I am sorry, I can't shift at the moment.'
He nudged it even closer. A frustrated growl escaped me, it was like communicating with a child. He answered my growl with one of his own. Running off again only to return with his mouth full with berries. He dropped them in front of me, eyeing me. I smiled, nodding my head. Grabbing them and stuffing them in my mouth. 'Thank you.'
He barked with excitement, his tail wagging fast. I took him in as he sat in front of me, he was larger than the usual Alpha's I knew or had seen. His wolf state was almost just as tall as a Lycan. His silver gold eyes could pierce right through your soul and his white fur seemed extremely soft, his paws were big which made sense if you had to carry this gigantic body.
His eyes turned a darker shade as he growled at me. My head snapped to the loud snarling and the thunderous paws that came at us. He barked at me and I instantly knew he commanded me to stay put. The fur at the base of his neck fluffed up, as he bared his canines at the two Lycans in front of us. He didn't seem fazed by them at all as he took a few steps closer, slowly standing onto his behind legs as he grew taller and his muscles showed. He stood taller than the Lycans in front of him.
My eyes widened as I processed what had happened.
He had shifted from a regular wolf to a Lycan.
He looked stronger as he motioned for the Lycans to attack. A snarl escaped the Lycan before he lunged forward. In one shift move he dodged the attack before slitting the throat of the Lycan. He didn't even hesitate to lunge at the other Lycan, in a blink of an eye he had the Lycans arm twisted behind its back and dug his own claw deep into his back. He then dropped the Lycan to the floor, twisting his neck as he howled loudly.
His eyes glowing white. I forced myself to look away, but I couldn't as he dropped back down on four legs and shifted back into his wolf form. He shook off the recent event as he sat down, licking the blood of his paws.
'Who.. are you?' I stuttered, he showed me a wolfish grin and I had to admit it made me chuckle. His eyes dropped to the necklace around me neck as he moved forward. A soft whimper escaped him as he eyed the necklace, nudging my chest.
He nudged me backwards, further into the woods as we reached an entrance to a cave. Gigantic rock pillars surrounding it, most of the pillars had fallen down. Rocks and trees were surrounding the place. He suddenly jumped forward, squeezing himself through a small entrance in between the pillars. His happy bark was heard in the entrance as it echoed through the woods.
I carefully squeezed myself through the entrance. He was gone, it railed my hand over the wall to guide myself forward. 'Where are w-,' The sight of the gigantic room cut me off, we were standing in the middle of a gigantic room. Wolf and Lycan statues surrounding the room and in the middle grew flowers from the forest. He stood in front of a statue, barking at it softly. I carefully moved forward as I took in the gorgeous Lycan wolf.
I read the tag, 'Deianira, Queen of Lycosura. First Lycan Queen.'
