My eyes widened in shock at the revelation of the woman in front of me. Cyllene, the woman who had killed my mother. Who nearly wiped out the entire Lycan line. The woman who wanted me death. She tilted her head with a small smile as she took me in.
'What do you want?'
She smirked, standing up. Walking over to a chair and pulling it in front of me as she sat down. She crossed her legs as she intertwined her fingers and rested her head on her hands. She studied me. 'It is almost surreal how much you look like Deianira.'
'Before you killed her you mean?' I snapped. I was fighting to keep Leto under control, I knew if I snapped Cyllene wouldn't hesitate to kill me.
She raised her eyebrow, 'I didn't kill your mother. I killed Lycaon yes, but your mother no. The little snake escaped just in time.' Her eyes clouded with darkness at the memory of my mother. Hatred was the only emotion that shone through the dark clouds. She tilted her head to the side, 'You seem surprised.'
I refused to meet her gaze, fixating my eyes on the wall behind her. She leaned forward, 'You believe I killed your mother? I wish I did.'
A growl escaped my throat and Cyllene raised her eyebrow. 'Liam help her up.' She spoke as she stood, walking out of the door. The man from before instantly by my side as he swiftly pulled me up on my feet. I warily watched Cyllene as she lead us through the different halls. The walls were broken down, veins growing in the cracks and some trees were growing through the many different holes.
'Where are we?'
Cyllene glanced over her shoulder, but didn't respond. She opened the door to the basement before opening her mouth. 'I heard you killed a few of my projects.'
I swallowed the lump in my throat, 'Yes..'
'Good,' Her voice caused a shiver to run down my spine. 'I wasn't too fond of them anyways.' She turned towards me, her pointy finger poking through the hole of my shirt were one of them had clawed me. She chuckled, as a door opened. Inside a room with hundreds of bed, every single bed a human wolf tied to it. My mouth fell open at the sight, she lead me through the room as I took in every single person.
Omega's.
Their faces filled with fear and pain, liquid was flooding through a small tube attacked to their arms. She turned to face me, clapping her hands together. 'Welcome to Lycosura.'
'What are you doing to them?'
She moved closer, her face only inches away from me as she leaned forward. 'They are my projects Azalea.'
''What kind of projects?' I questioned.
The darkness that consumed Cyllene was evident. She wasn't afraid of it, she embraced it. 'Lycans.'
'You.. are creating Lycans?' I was completely shocked, suddenly it made sense. The death Omega's showing up everywhere were her failed projects. The ones that tried to flee, got killed and left behind.
Cyllene walked over to one of the boys, her finger trailing the side of his face. 'You see, your mother was smart enough to.. hide the Lycan genes in the wolves. Making sure no one could use it against one and another. I know there is a key, I just haven't found it yet.'
'Considering the amount of death Omega's we find, I am guessing you're not doing so well. I breathed.
She growled, suddenly in front of me as she grabbed my chin hard forcing me to look into her eyes. Her eyes glowing a darker red, she took a deep breath and chuckled. Letting me go, 'Yes. But when I do succeed dear Azalea. I will bring down every single pack, starting with your precious little mate. I'll let you watch how I rip her limbs off, one by fucking one.' She growled. 'You will suffer like I suffered when your mother took my husband.'
I growled, my eyes flashing blue with a gold line. No one threatened my mate.
She let me go, walking back to the young boy as she stood behind him. 'This little tube with liquid flooding into his system. Is Lycan blood mixed with a little wolfs bane. We believe these wolves have a dormant Lycan gene. If they want to live, they will have to.. trigger the gene.' She grabbed his head between her hands.
'Please!' The boy yelled but it was to no avail as the sound of his neck being snapped filled the room. I forced my growl back down my throat. This woman was mental.
'Why don't you turn him yourself? I mean.. only Lycans can change wolves.'
She raised her eyebrow, moving over to me again. She lifted my chin once again, 'Because dear, I am not a born Lycan. Lycaon turned me when we mated. Yet.. he chose your mother over me.'
'My mother never mated with Lycaon..' I argued.
Her eyes met mine, 'I know.'
'But you said.. I thought..' I stuttered.
She chuckled, 'Your mother and her mate killed Lycaon.'
