~Kena POV~
All I could do was stare as Belle rushed my mate away. Something powerful was lurking deep inside of Azalea, clawing its way out slowly. It was calling to her, just like it was calling to all of us. Alcione had wanted to force it's way out, but it felt different. Stronger, yet it didn't feel scary. It felt like it was part of me and it needed to come out.
My eyes flew to the moon. Tonight was going to be a full moon, I could feel it calling to me just like it was calling everyone around us. Dani her eyes were flicking to a lighter blue and I frowned, 'Something is going on.' I mumbled to no one in particular. Alcione barked softly and I shook the feeling off as I ran as fast as I could to the infirmary.
Belle and Brynn were hovering over my mate. I could see it in their eyes that it was effecting them, yet it wasn't effecting them as much as it was effecting everyone around them. Aita growled lowly as she bit her tongue, forcing herself to focus on the situation.
Brynn and Belle eyed each other, they knew something was going on.
'What is happening?' I asked, my eyes roaming over my mate. She didn't seem to be in pain but I could feel her Lycan surfacing.
Belle frowned and her eyes met mine. She was holding on to Azalea her hand, 'It is her Lycan. I can feel it surfacing, yet it's essence is mixed with something else. It is strong, no doubt it is effecting all the wolves surrounding us.'
'What does it mean..?' I whispered as I took a seat on the other side of Azalea, my hand grabbing hers. The familiar sparks erupting and I sighed. Alcione whimpered in the back of my mind at the sight of our mate.
'It means.. that whatever is happening is completely up to her. She spoke a few words,' Belle spoke softly, her warm eyes meeting mine. 'Tempus est.'
It is time.
Brynn her eyes widened, 'Really?'
Belle nodded her head, her eyes twinkling lightly. 'Yes. It all comes down to Azalea now. She needs to fully accept her title and her Lycan. Just like her mother had wished for her to do.'
My eyes roamed over Azalea, 'Please Azalea..'
All we could do was wait, the minutes turned to hours as we waited quietly in the white room. Most of the nurses had left, the full moon was calling to them. I felt Alcione gnawing in the back of my mind as I fought the pull of the moon. Now wasn't the time, my mate needed us. I didn't care how long I had to wait.
Dani tapped her feet on the floor as she leaned against the wall, taking deep breaths. 'It is okay if you need to go Dani.' I spoke softly, my eyes glued to Azalea.
'No, I need to stay with Azalea.' Dani spoke, her voice pained. My eyes met hers and Dani smiled, I was lucky with a friend like Dani. After all these years she still had my back just like I had hers. We had been through hell, the amounts of time she had to knock some sense into me whenever I had given up hope.
Suddenly Azalea her heartbeat picked up. 'What is going on?' I asked, panic evident in my voice as I tried to figure out what was going on. Belle and Brynn their eyes flickered to their Lycan as they eyed me. 'I don't know.'
A door behind us barged open and my eyes flew to the sound. A woman was leaning heavily against the doorpost, her eyes looked warily and the hospital gown hugging her body. Within a few seconds Dani and Brynn rushed forward, standing in front of the woman. Trying to calm the wild animal inside of the woman. 'Lola... It is alright. It's me Brynn.' Brynn her voice sounded softly, barely above a whisper. I could hear the slight sniff in her voice. Indicating she was crying.
'What is going on?' I repeated. Brynn growled involuntarily at me as Lola roamed her eyes over me. I ran my hand through my hair. Alcione seemed unsure of the situation and I knew the only person that could fix this situation was Azalea.
Another woman barged through the door. Chloe.
Her gaze was wild as if she was a beaten dog trapped in a corner. Dani raised her arms to try and hold her in the room. Chloe bared her canines as she shifted into her Lycan, growling lowly as she eyed us all. Her eyes landing on me, 'Chloe.. breath. I know you are confused, we can explain..'
'Queen..' She growled through gritted teeth as her eyes were glued to the bed Azalea was still laying in. She leaned heavily against the wall as she tried to make her way over. Alcione growled, she didn't want Chloe next to our mate in this state. 'Stay where you are Chloe..' I warned as I positioned myself in front of Azalea.
Her eyes flickered to her Lycan and back to her own eyes. Lola growled lowly as she stood, their eyes glued to me. I could feel the anger radiating of them. Brynn breathed as she slowly walked backwards, 'Kena.. don't keep them from their Lycan Queen.'
Frankly I didn't care and I looked past Chloe into the room, Tara and Tanja held a confused gaze as they stared at their hands and checking themselves for injuries. Belle growled softly as she stepped in front of us, holding eye contact with the very confused Lycans in front of us. A wild look in their eyes as they stared at Belle.
The sound of glass breaking startled us as Tara and Tanja shifted and jumped out of the window. 'Fuck..' I breathed. Wild Lycans roaming around on our territory with my pack members enjoying their shift.
Brynn growled but my eyes softened at the sight of her. Just like everyone else she was struggling to keep herself from shifting. Alcione grew restless, pounding against the invisible cage. All the Lycans had fled the room and Belle sighed. 'This isn't good.'
Gasping, startled me and my eyes shot to my mate. She was gasping for air as she sat up straight. Her eyes glowing a bright blue as she jumped out of the bed. Checking herself for injuries. Belle and Brynn seemed to be highly affected by Azalea at the moment.
Azalea panted as she pushed past me out of the room. Brynn growled as she held on to the bed post, forcing her Lycan down. She forced her way to Alora her room. Azalea was panting heavily as her eyes were glued to Alora.
Belle and Brynn stood behind me and we watched how Azalea took a deep breath as a wave of power hit all of us at her command. 'Frange Liberum. '
The wave of power connected to the command forced me on my knees. My head felt like it was being struck by thousand of daggers all at once. A loud growl escaped me and I pressed my hands against my temples.
My vision became blurry and I could feel Azalea her cool hands on my face, telling me not to fight it as she guided me. Alcione growled loudly as she barged through the barrier within seconds of the command. My body repositioning itself. Power surged through me and then my eyes snapped open.
Everything seemed much more intense. My senses heightened.
My eyes dropped to my arms. White fur covering my body as I towered over Azalea. Alcione howled happily as she accepted the power surging through us before handing me back control. My eyes met the gorgeous silver ones of Azalea. A low purr escaped her, sending shivers down my spine.
'You look extremely hot as a Lycan, my queen.' She purred softly.
