How to write a terrible fanfiction!

Hahahah. We're going inter-site-tional today guys.

This isn't about writing so much as an educational lesson on where you should post your fanfic.

Lets start with the most famous:

Fanfiction.net

Now fanfiction.net is a good site to start at. When I got into fanfictions when I was like 9, that's where I went. I wrote Naruto and Fairy Tail fanfics that are probably still up and GOD they were terrible. It's got less smut then other sites but that means it's a good place to start or stay if you're uncomfortable with smut. It's got some amazing works on it. Don't post a book that's basically a porno on there though because they're pretty strict with stuff like that.

Next we'll go to a lesser known site:

Quotev.com

Quotev is a quiz site as well. I'd say it's the perfect place to launch a one-shot book. I love quotev, it's one of my favorite sites. It was like my second fanfiction site but at that time I only used it for quizzes.

I'm gonna make a stop here on wattpad before going any further. Wattpad has got to be my favorite site because of it's community. You guys here on wattpad are great. I love you all. There's hilarious comments, amazing works and a great balance of genres. Wattpad takes the cake for most well-rounded fanfiction site.

Next is FicWad.

I don't have much to say about FicWad but what I will say is that it's a lot smaller then many other sites and because of that you get a far smaller variety. Another thing I can say is that most of the works on there are amazing but the site in itself is hard to navigate.

Ooooh yay. We've come to the last one and one of my other favorites.

Archive of our own.

What I love about archive is that it gives you ratings nice and big and they don't really delete anything "innappropriate." If somebody's really good at writing porn, they won't get banned for it on archive. The site is really easy to filter through and find what you want to read and it's got a huge variety. I love the site almost as much, if not the same as wattpad. The site is still in beta but it's an amazing site.
