Look bandom, I'm a member of you but we need to set one thing straight.

Most of the bandom members are NOT metalheads.

I see so many people describing their characters as metalheads. These characters like Post hardcore and pop punk.

Metal is:
Slayer
Black Sabbath
Pantera
Anthrax
Deep Purple
Metallica
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden (My favorite)
Megadeth
System of a down
Korn
Led Zepplin

Metal is not:
Black Veil Brides
Falling in Reverse
Suicide Silence
Pierce the Veil
Bring me the Horizon
Asking Alexandria
Blood on the dance floor
Sleeping with Sirens

I like some of these bands, but no, they are not metal. There is a fine line between metal and post hardcore.

Notice I did not include the following, they are usually considered "punk." No guys... They're pop punk. I'll make more lists...

Punk:
Pre-American Idiot Green Day
The Clash
Ramones
Black Flag
Misfits
Sex Pistols
Dead Kennedys
Bad Religion
Minor Threat
Decendants
Sum 41

NOT punk:
Fall Out Boy
My Chemical Romance
Blink 182
Panic! At The Disco
Paramore

This is called POP-punk. Yes, FOB and MCR have some songs that we might be able to consider punk. No, that doesn't mean they're punk bands. They are pop-punk, not punk.

If you do not get my point:
Listen to any artist on the Post Harcore list. Then listen to Walk by Pantera.
Listen to any artist on the Pop-punk list. Then listen to God Save The Queen by Sex Pistols.

I have one last thing to say. Nirvana is not Punk. Nirvana is not Metal. Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, etc. are called Grunge. I'm not making another damn list.

Use the terms right guys, Randy Rhoads is probably shunning the bandom.

Goodnight.
