I watch Nikita's shocked expression and can't help but feel smug about it. The witch child feels that she can sense anyone around her but she clearly doesn't know my skills.
Soon she will know. The magic inside her is overflowing and it won't be long for her to realize that I am her mate. I haven't had a chance to speak with her ever since our brief intimate encounter and then when she overheard mine and Fenris's conversation about my first mate.
I wonder what she thinks. She has closed her mind to me. It's like a fortress surrounded by death traps for me. I cannot risk the exposure of my mind if I get trapped in one of her illusions. I have too many secrets and too much darkness in me.
A pure light like Nikita shouldn't be tarnished with my darkness.
"What are you doing here, Dominic?" asks Fenris with a frown on his face. He is shocked but more so he is proud of his sister.
Nikita doesn't realize but she has teleported from Blue Moon to Crimson Shadow. It is a huge feat even for a witch. I had to use my vampire speed to run through the forest to reach this cavern in one night.
Fenris sensed it. Sierra did too but they are both quiet, not really wanting Nikita to think much about it. If she can do it naturally, then she can do a lot more things, naturally. It is better to take it in stride and not let the person know of their uniqueness.
Knowing Nikita, she will take it in a negative way and overthink about her otherworldly nature.
Females!
"I came to investigate a personal matter." The lie slips smoothly and although Fenris senses it, he ignores it.
What can he do? He cannot question me in front of Sierra and Nikita.
Our main priority is to know what is there in this wall and that's what I will find out today. I had run back to this place out of curiosity. I never expected Nikita to just pop out of nowhere in the middle of my investigation.
"I wish to see what Nikita's unveiling here. I have the right to, as the representative of Vampires," I whisper and watch as Nikita goes pale as if scared.
"No," she speaks, her voice firm and her fists clenched.
"Nikita, he has the right to ask. I have a feeling that whatever you are revealing here is of great importance. We both know that Dominic is not here to harm us, instead guide us if he knows anything due to his age and experience," whispers Fenris making me frown.
Why did he have to talk about my age? I am not ancient!
Before I can say anything, Sierra beats me to it. "I think Fenris is right, Sierra. Dominic is a trusted ally for us. Please consider him."
"Fine," whispers Nikita and then glances at me with narrowed eyes. The hatred pouring out of them threatens to burn me but I hold my ground watching patiently, as Nikita turns towards the wall and then waves at it once.
I do not let her behaviour hurt my feelings but sigh at the work laid out in front of me.
The wall glows and then slowly, letters appear on the wall. The sight is mesmerizing as I watch the Werewolf Royal's family tree making its appearance on the wall. It begins with the very first werewolf and his mate who led the other packs.
Slowly, their children's names are displayed and like that, a flow chart is formed. It scrolls down slowly, giving us enough time to read the names and then finally, it settles on the family tree for King Adrian's legacy.
King Lucas's name is listed on the top. He had two sons; Adrian and Aragorn.
King Adrian had one son; Lucian. Prince Aragorn had one son; Xavier. Xavier's family line displays his three off-springs; Xanthos, Cayden and Catrina.
