Sascha's pain-filled cries echo through the living room and I fear that her cries might wake up Mila. I don't know what's happening to my twin. Somewhere, I feel that this might be the change that she was talking about a few minutes ago.
"Ahhh!" Her scream tears through my thoughts and I jerk beside her. Bringing my magic to the surface, I use it to strengthen myself and then I lift my twin sister in my arms. Laying her on the couch of the guest house, I rub her hands, not really knowing what to do.
I peek into her mind, tearing at the boundaries set up by her, completely breaking the rules of magic. As soon as I step into her mind, it's filled with magic and something else. Something or perhaps someone is driving this change and it's as if a switch has been turned.
A moment ago, she was completely fine. As soon as she uttered these words and the moment, she heard her given name, it was as if a trigger went inside her head. Trying to gauge what this presence might be, I flare out my senses and a loud growl rips through Sascha, scaring me.
The presence makes itself known and I freeze as images get pushed inside my head. I blink multiple times to realize that the images put in my mind are through a wolf vision and not a human one. It's a wolf trying to communicate with me.
But who's the wolf? Is it the wolf soul or an actual wolf trying to communicate with me?
The images of a human, Sascha, and then that of a wolf, especially a black wolf, is pushed into my mind. I am so confused that I cannot maintain my presence inside my twin's mind. Exiting her mind, I glance at my sister's writhing body.
She's in pain, collapsing on the couch, almost convulsing in pain.
Not really caring about the consequences, I brought her here. She's my responsibility. If after finding her, now if I lose her, I might as well kill myself.
Not bothering about the time, I call for Mila. I yell her name and nearly apologise when a sleepy Mila trips down the stairs in her nightclothes.
"What happened?" she yells as she jumps down the stairs and then stops on the floor of the living room when she hears Sascha's pants and growls. "What's wrong? Who's she?"
Mila questions and then walks closer to take a look at Sascha. She gasps at the sight of my sister convulsing and making pain-filled noises.
"Please. Look after her for a minute. I don't know what's happening. I need to call Fenris," I whisper, aware of the tears running down. I watch Mila's blur figure as she nods her head at me and then goes to move the coffee table that's sitting in front of the couch, aside.
Visualising Fenris's living room in the guest house, I find myself standing there in a split second. "Fenris!" My screams make my throat go dry and it starts aching, as panic takes over and I find myself painting in fear.
"What?" Fenris runs out of the room upstairs, while Selene and Sierra are nowhere to be seen. He sees my tear-filled face and then takes two steps at a time to reach me.
"Please come with me," I whisper and take hold of his hand. Not bothering to explain anymore, I teleport inside my guest house and find myself in the living room where Mila is now holding my twin sister's hair as she pukes and pukes.
"What the fuck is going on here?" growls Fenris and I almost give in the urge to sob loudly. This happened because of me. I brought pain to Sascha's life.
"She's my twin sister. She's our sister. I found her in the town. But... but... she started growling and moaning in pain after some time. So, I brought her here. I... I... don't know what's happening to her. Pl... Please, brother. Help our sister," I sob and sob, not really knowing if he understood my words.
