-Two days have passed since we got back to the Philippines, and time is dragging like I'm stuck in slow motion. I'm bored as hell. Arki's not even around—he's with my mom on their trip to Japan. Can you believe it? They didn't even bother to invite me. Technically, I could've gone, but classes start tomorrow, and I didn't want to miss the first day. Three idiots have probably been waiting to see me, so I stayed home.
After a while, I decided to go shopping. I needed to grab a few school supplies anyway.
I'm at Aurora Mall now, strolling through the aisles, picking out what I might need. My eyes land on a book that catches my attention—its cover looks like one of those tragic love stories. It shows two women facing each other with a car in the background, its high beams making them almost look like they're about to crash into it.
I was just about to check the synopsis when someone suddenly bumped into my arm, making the book I was holding fall to the floor. Annoyed, I quickly picked it up and glared at the person who had bumped into me. Seriously, no apology?
"Hey, miss!" I called out loudly, but she just kept walking, as if she didn't hear me.
I almost let it go, but I couldn't—especially with how rude she was, acting like I didn't even exist. Not to mention, the way she practically slammed into my arm, it felt like she was made of nothing but bone. What the hell?
I was fuming, but I didn't give a damn. Without wasting another second, I followed her, but she'd already put some distance between us. Then, I had a lightbulb moment—time for a little revenge. A mischievous grin crept onto my face when I spotted a pocket notebook on a nearby table.
I scoped out the distance between us, glancing around to make sure I wasn't about to hit someone else, and, of course, fate was on my side. It was just the two of us. I chucked the notebook with all my might, and boom, I barely held back the laughter when I saw her halt in her tracks. She reached up to rub the back of her head, slowly turning to face me.
I quickly ducked behind a bookshelf, but I could still see her reaction through the glass wall mirror right in front of me. Her eyes narrowed as she tried to figure out who the hell just hit her, and I almost wished I hadn't done it when I saw her face. She was gorgeous. Damn, she looked even more stunning up close, and the impact of what I did only made it worse.
Her brows furrowed as she glared, and even with her thick glasses on, I could clearly see the anger in her eyes.
I instantly regretted my actions and bolted out of there—yeah, I was definitely guilty of my little "crime." And for the first time, I found myself stunned by the beauty of the brat. Wait, did I just compliment her? No, no, no—ano siya gold or anything.
I practically ran out of the bookshop and straight to the parking lot, getting into my car. I tossed my purchases into the backseat, and even though all that had just happened, I still made sure to pay for everything.
Deadma sa basher kidding wala namang nakakita tsaka hindi ko narin nakita o nakasalubong si ateng kulot, and yes kulot ang ate niyo mukha nga siyang nerd because of her big and thick eyeglasses pero hindi maitatangging may itsura siya she looks masungit pero maamo rin ang mukha nagawa ko talagang aralin mukha niya in a short span of time. But she looks familiar parang nakita ko na siya before 'di ko lang masabi kung saan.
I shook my head to dismiss the thought of that annoying girl in my head.
I find it cute so I don't mind it at all.
