Dane/Louise's POV

"Daci!"

"Are you done? Arki is waiting for you, oldy" Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin dahil sa tinawag niya sakin. Sa ganda kong 'to oldy itatawag purkit mabagal kumilos tss.

He let out a heavy sigh before lifting the large suitcase, his muscles flexing under the weight. We made our way to the living room, where my little one was leaning casually with his arms crossed, looking all grown up.

"Arki, baby," I called out, and he looked up at us immediately. The moment he spotted me, his face lit up with that smile that could melt anyone's heart.

"Come here, handsome," I said, my arms open wide, inviting him in for a hug.

He didn't say a word, but as soon as he reached me, he showered my face with kisses, his little hands wrapping around me in a tight embrace.

"You miss me?" I asked, my voice soft as I held him close.

I felt the gentle nod of his head against my neck, where his face was buried. A smile tugged at my lips. I missed this kiddo more than words could say.

"We gotta go now, Daci, Arki baby," Morphy interjected, clearly ready to move on, his tone a little too loud for the moment we were having. Still, I couldn't help but smile at the interruption. It was like Morphy was eager to break up the precious moment I was having with my son.

Mabilis kaming nakarating sa airport dahil wala namang traffic dito sa US, "Wear this, young man," saad niya kay Arki habang inaabot ang hawak nitong sunglasses.

"And you," Baling niya sakin kaya nag-angat ako ng tingin sa mukha niya pinaglihi sa ubo.

I raised my eyebrows looking for glasses he should hand out for me, "Bahala ka na,"

"This way, maam, sir," saad ni kuyang nagaassist samin. Tumango lang ako at sumunod.

It wasn't long before our flight to the Philippines was called. A bitter smile tugged at my lips as memories began flooding my mind—memories I'd tried so hard to bury, but that still haunted me. It's been three years since I left the country and moved to the US. And now, I was returning, but this time, I wasn't alone. I had my little one with me.

"Hey, you okay?" Morphy's voice broke through my thoughts, and I turned to face him. I gave a quick nod, trying to push my emotions aside. But he wasn't convinced—his eyes were locked on me, filled with concern.

"What?" I snapped, irritation creeping into my voice. "Don't look at me like that."

He sighed, the sound of it almost making me feel guilty for snapping. But I couldn't shake the feeling of tension building up inside me.
