Chapter 14 - Bouillabaisse

I lifted my gaze up to her, "What?"

She sighed, "I want you to join the cycling team."

Luh hibang na ba siya. Parang ganon lang kadali ang sinasabi niya.

"Don't tell me what to do, Miss Serrano." I monotonous said.

"Just do what I said. Besides, it's already official they're just waiting for your signature." Parang wala lang niyang sabi.

"You don't know what you're talking about, Miss. I never wanted it." I stifled my voice from raising as much as I can.

Biglang nawala gutom ko at napalitan ng galit. Nahihibang na ba sila. Bakit ba pilit nilang isali ako sa larong 'yon.

She looks at me, "I didn't asked your opinion."

I clinched my jaw, "You have no idea how that fucked me up, Kaye."

"You've been fucked up about it?" Kunot noo niyang tanong. "Or you still scaredy-little-snail who can't come out of her shell?"

This is going far, "Yeah, I haven't, I got a problem with that. And I'm scared to hell of losing my leg again!" I yelled at her.

I knew it, I will never have a good conversation with her.

I stood up but she stopped me, "I'm sorry."

I looked at her this time her face softened up, "Look, Miss Serrano, I..I apologize for raising my voice, but you can't make me join in that crap game of yours."

"Of course, I can." She said in full hope, "And I'm still your professor, watch your word, Perez. You're disrespecting me."

Nagbaba ako ng tingin, tama siya propesor ko parin siya pero nakakalimutan ko 'yon dahil ang lakas ng loob niyang insultuhin ang nararamdaman ko. Alam niya ang nangyare sakin noon pero kung makapagsalita siya ngayon parang hindi big deal ang bagay na 'yon.

"I have to go. Excuse m-"

She cut me off ng biglang niya akong hilahin sa braso. I was startled with her move lalo na ng pagharap ko sakanya ay malambot na bagay ang sumalubong sa labi ko.

My eyes widened in realization pero bago ko pa siya maitulak ay sinimulan niya ng igalaw ang labi niya.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

I strongly closed my eyes but I didn't respond. She keeps on giving me soft kisses and I'm slowly losing it. Her lips are still soft, but the feeling I had before whenever she kissed me was gone. I admit it. I miss her kisses and touches, but now I can't feel the warmth. The alluring lavender sweet scent of her in particular was still there and undeniably irresistible, but it had to come to an end. We're done. What we're doing is wrong.

Damn it, Dane. Do something, make her fucking stop!

I was about to respond when the room suddenly filled with a loud knock. Agad ko siyang naitulak ng marinig kong bumukas ang pinto.

That was close. Fuck.

"Ate- I mean Miss Serrano, I didn't know your busy." Gulat na sabi ni Anno, "Babalik nalang ako."

Nag-iwas ako ng tingin ng magtama ang mata namin tangina feeling ko na caught on cam kami.

Miss Serrano cleared her throat, "It's fine, naguusap lang kami regarding her issues about my subject."

Lihim na umarko ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya. I divert my eyes just to see her in her neutral state. Para siyang walang ginawang kababalaghan sa itsura niya at ayos na ayos ang pustura niya. Habang ako halos lumubog na sa kinatatayuan ko dahil sa kaba na baka may makakita samin.
