chapter 03

I woke up from the ear-piercing ringing of my alarm.

It's been a week since I got here and I have not seen Jacob yet .

I've been hanging out with Martha these nights in our dorm and I have to say that really like her . She told me about her boyfriend Kyle and her other friends, including Jacob . I tried to change the subject when it came to him and she seemed to understand that I didn't feel comfortable.

Martha told me multiple times to hang out with them but I don't want to be in the same group of friends as him .

I stated my classes two days ago and I really like the teaching and educational program. Today though I'm gonna take a new class of history , and I'm kinda nervous for that . The good thing about that class is that it is optional and everyone can participate, regardless of their field .

I got up and went straight to our bathroom which has only a toilet and a sink since our washroom are common.

I did my morning routine and got straight to my bedroom.

Today I'm gonna wear mid waisted bell jeans , a white T-shirt and my black converse . It's chilly here in the morning but I won't get a jacket with me since in less than an hour it will be hot enough.

My stuff have arrived and now I have my body mirror in my room, which is very useful because I do my makeup there as well.

Today I'm not gonna put a lot of makeup since I have a couple of classes and I don't want face to melt or something from the heat .

I put my face cream , a little mascara and my strawberry lip balm only .

I grab my back pack and keys from my nightstand .

" Hey I'm leaving!" I yell for Martha to hear

" Okey , I'm gonna text you later " she yells through her closed door

I have met Kyle a couple of days ago since he's been staying here some of the weekdays . Martha told me that they have some days alone for themselves and some days the sleep to each other's dorms. Kyle's roommate is Jacob, and from what I imagined when Kyle stays there with Martha he sleeps somewhere else . I didn't even ask where or how and the truth is I really don't wanna know .

As I walk out of the dorm area in order to go to my class I pass the little cantina that sells incredible coffee.

And yes I drink only coffee from breakfast, I know it's very unhealthy to not eat in the mornings. I'm just too stressed to eat .

As I reach the coffee shop and go inside I see the old kind lady that makes my drink everyday.

" Goodmorning sweetheart , what can I get you ?" She asks with a smile plastered on he face

" The usual please " I say retuning the smile my eyes going to the card attached to her blouse that says " Valentina "

I grab my wallet out of my backpack and open it to retrieve the money. As I leave the money on the stand I take the coffee and head to the exit .

" thank you " I say with a smile while walking away

" You're welcome Olivia , have a nice day " the lady says with her usual Spanish accent

As I walk to my class I see some of the Americans football team of our college going out of the direction of the lockers room .

As I scan their faces my eyes fall on some blue ones.

Jacob .

He is walking among the others , Kyle beside talking to him , but Jacob has his head tilted down and appearing not listening.
