It's A Boy Or A Girl ...?

~ THREE MONTHS LATER ~

~ MID-MAY 1996 ~

~ TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING ~

Three months have passed since the trial and our heroes have finally put Lisa and all the pain she caused behind them.

Mary is five months pregnant and overjoyed. Her belly is small and very, very cute. You can only see it when she's wearing tight clothes.

Although she eats like a wolf, she's only gained four pounds so far. This weight has made her even more beautiful. Her breasts have gotten much bigger and her hips are rounder. All of this has made it very hard for Jace to keep his hands off her. Thankfully, the pregnancy is completely normal and the doctor has given them the green light to continue their sexual encounters. Thank goodness because, hormones aren't to be trifled with!- I speak from experience, of course.

As for Jace, he's in the clouds.

He spends as few hours as possible at the office so he can be with Mary all the time. He takes care of everything because - as he says - she has something else to take care of, something more important, something sacred. The baby. He has already prepared the house to welcome the new member, even though Mary says it's too early for that. He hears nothing. He has put protective covers in all corners of the house and a screen door on the stairs. The cabinets and refrigerator already have safety latches and all the heavy furniture has been put away. All that's left is the nursery. It would have been ready by now if Mary hadn't insisted on knowing the sex first.

Speaking of the baby's gender, today is the big day. They have an appointment for an ultrasound and the doctor told them that it's very likely that they'll find out the sex.
