Bucky can't help but feel the excitement bubbling inside of him. Knowing that after this party, he gets to live out his life the way he has always wanted. A house, wife, kids and hell even pets if that's what they wanted.

After everything he's been through, he finally feels at peace. Like he has a home and a love that he never thought he deserved. And the one person he has for thank for that is his wife. Willow came into his life when he wasn't even looking and now he can't ever imagine a life without her in it.

He watched how she flows through the crowd, completely at ease with everyone. Ensuring that she spoke to anyone who crossed into her path which was completely the opposite of him. Bucky preferred to hang about in the background without having to make small talk with people who were only interested in his life before. His life as the Winter Soldier.

Willow had sneaked up on him before he had even realised 'Hey there handsome. Is this seat taken'
'I'm saving it for my wife. She would be pissed if I let another woman take it' Bucky replied.
'Yes she would' Willow replied taking hold of his hand and entwining their fingers together.

Bucky pulled the back of her hand up to his lips and gave it a gentle kiss 'Are you ready to get out of here Lo'
Lo was Bucky's nickname for her. He liked the fact that she only allowed him to call her that. Would only ever respond to him with that name
'I am. Are you sure that you're ready to leave all of this behind though Buck. To leave the Avengers behind?'
'I couldn't think of anything more I'd rather do' he relied pulling her flush to him. 'We will get to spend the rest of lives living an ordinary life and I can't wait' he gently leant down and kissed her lips softly. Their lips barely brushed but the electricity between them could still be felt.
'I've already said our goodbyes to the team and those that matter will be round ours at the weekend anyway. So it looks like I'm all yours Buckaroo'
Bucky smiles at her 'All mine. I like the way that sounds. Let's get out of here before someone spots us'

As they head outside, they stop to take in the picturesque moment as the snow has fallen more whilst they've been at the party.
'How beautiful is this?'
Bucky pulls her in close 'Yep. This is without a doubt the most beautiful sight I have ever laid my eyes on
Willow scoffs but moves in closer to the warmth that Bucky is offering 'I meant the snow dummy. Not me'
Bucky smiles 'But you are beautiful Lo. Nothing compares to you.'

Willow feels the wind being knocked out of her in that one moment. 'How is it that you can still sweep me off my feet Barnes'
'That's not a secret I can reveal' and with that he leans in further to close the distance between them, placing his lips on hers. This kiss is more passionate than the one they just shared. Willow could feel every ounce of love he poured into that kiss and reciprocated all of her love back before scooping up some snow and throwing out down Bucky's back

'You, Willow Barnes will be the death of me' with that a snowball fight ensues before Bucky realises how cold Willow was getting.
'Come on love, let's get into the warm and get you home'
Willow grabbed hold of Bucky's hand and walked the short distance to the car 'I'm expecting hot cocoa when we get in Buckaroo.'
'Yes ma'am' he replied.

The drive home was filled with banter and arguments over which radio channel to listen to. At a red stop light, Bucky reached over and placed his hand on her cheek 'You really are the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on'
Willow looks at him blushing 'You're just biased'
'I'm not. You just are beautiful inside and out'
No one is sure who closed the gap between them but the kiss escalated very quickly with both feeling like it was all too much and not enough at the same time

Willow unfastened her seatbelt and climbed into his lap to get better access. Laughing about how cramped the space was. 'I love you Buckaroo' and with that she attached her lips to his once more.

As if happening in slow motion, a jolt pushed them apart and Bucky watched as Willow flew forwards out of the front car window whilst he was thrown to the side banging his head in the process. Bucky watched as blood dropped down his face and saw that Willow lay motionless on the bonnet of the car. Noting that the impact of whatever had hit the car was so great that neither one were now near the other. Bucky tried to reach out for Willow before everything started to spin and eventually went to black.
