Carefully removing himself from Willow so that he didn't disturb her sleep, Bucky made his way down to the kitchen. The anger bubbling inside of him was threatening to come to the surface. He always knew that Jeremy was a shady piece of shit but to leave an elderly man to die just so that he could get his hands on their fortune, sent him spiralling.
Because of that bastard, his wife had to live without her family, live with all the confusion his actions had caused and more importantly the heartbreak that she now had to deal with.
Bucky just wanted to get his hands around that man's neck and squeeze the life out of him. Feeling himself getting more and more wound up, he picked up the phone and dialled his best friend hoping that he would have some good news for him 'Have you found him' he rambled as soon as the call connected.
He heard a long sigh and then 'Hello to you too Buck'
The clipped reply made him feel like an ass 'Sorry buddy, i'm just on edge here, you know. Please tell me that you have some good news for me'
Steve could hear the desperation in his voice. He knew how difficult it was knowing that Jeremy had vanished without a trace. Especially with everything he had done to Willow 'I wish I could give you some good news Buck, but we haven't been able to find him yet'
Bucky hit the wall in frustration 'How can that be Steve. With all the gadgets that Tony has, you should be able to find him. Why is it all taking so long'
'We're trying out best but it's like he's just disappeared literally.... Without a trace. But we're still working on it and he can't hide forever right?'
Rubbing his hand across his face, Bucky signed into the phone 'No I guess not. Look, I'm going to take Willow away for a while. Away from all of this. I think some time away from everything right now will do her some good'
Looking down at the floor, feeling disappointed with no leads, Steve nodded before realising that Bucky couldn't see him 'Yeah I agree. We won't stop looking for him Buck. I promise. For you and for Willow, I will find him'
'I have no doubt that you'll find him but Steve, just so we're clear, when you find him, he's all mine'
Steve chuckled slightly 'Yeah I had a feeling you'd say that. Go be with your girl Buck and I'll let you know as soon as I have news'
Bucky pottered into the kitchen getting out all the utensils in order to cook brunch for Willow. She'd been sleeping now for almost twelve hours and there was a sense of relief in him that she was finally getting some rest.
Lost in his own world, he didn't notice that Willow had entered the room until he found a pair of arms circling around his waist where she had wrapped herself to his back. Kissing in between his shoulder blades she mumbled 'Morning Buckaroo... or should I say Good afternoon considering the time. You should've woken me up'
Turning so that he could face her and pull her tighter to him, he leaned down and placed his lips on hers. There was no rush, no heat, no hurry just the two of them wrapped up in each other in the middle of the kitchen lazily exploring each other's mouths with their tongues. Not wanting it to go any further, Bucky slowly pulled back and kissed the tip of her nose 'I didn't want to wake you up. You definitely needed the rest. Come on let's eat'
After exchanging pleasantries whilst eating, Bucky waited for her to finish her last mouthful of food before pulling her up and into the living room, dragging her down with him on the chair so that she as positioned nicely across his lap.
Snuggling into her collar bone, lazily kissing her there he knew he wanted this with her forever. Wanted to protect her from all of the bad if she'd let him. He tilted her chin until her eyes were staring back into his 'Let's go away for a while. Just you and me. Away from everyone and everything'
Willow cautiously stared down at him 'And where would we go exactly?' She proclaimed whilst smiling as deep down she knew she'd follow him anywhere 'Somewhere. Anywhere. Wherever the road takes us. Just as long as it's me and you there'
They'd never done anything as spontaneous as this before. Not that she remembered anyway. The little voice inside her head was telling her that she couldn't just run from her problems. That she needed to face them head on but staring at Bucky's hopeful face made up her mind for her 'Ok. Let's do it. Let's go away. Just me and you.'
Half expecting her to say no, Bucky's face up lit up and Willow would swear that she had never seen him look more beautiful than in that moment 'Yeah?? You really mean it. You want to go away? Are we really doing this?'
Giggling at his excitement she placed a chaste kiss on his lips 'Yes dufus.... I really mean it. I actually couldn't think of anything better than just me and you somewhere quiet and deserted with nothing but the road and the ocean keeping us company'
Bucky swiftly stood up, pulling Willow with him, ensuring that her legs were wrapped tightly around his waist as he spun her round and kissed her as if he had been starved of her kisses for a lifetime 'Then back your bags baby because we are getting out of here in the morning'
Willow dove back in and kissed him passionately before jumping off to pack. Watching her run off so care free erased any doubt that he had of them doing this. Fuck Jeremy and everyone else. This was all for his girl.
